This a good general start for someone with no mechanical/switch experience? Totally a good buy. Middle of the road switch on a cheap but still decent keyboard with a good company behind it.

I got the same myself, arrived the other day, but won't be home to check it out 'til the weekend. It's a quality keyboard. Backlighting too, which is a feature yo simply don't see on other mechanical keyboards even close to the price. Linus really liked this one, too. The build quality is really quite good.

-Full size (not TKL) -Cherry brown -Large flatter keys (I don't really like the keyboards with the narrow concaved keys) -Black -Standard keyboard, no extra macro keys

Well I guess it's not completely flat but it's probably your best option.

Just be aware that those are still the same switches. The up and down movement will still have the exact same range as on a normal keyboard. It's just that slight curve in key height between the different rows missing. The price is also definitely a rip off. It's built cheaply even more so than the G80-3000, and that one is perhaps $60 worth.

And now is the dilemma. Should I stick with this keyboard and try to get more accurate? Kinda hard in high APM battles not to mess up anything, or go back to the keyboard with black switches where typing is reasonably pleasant and I do not screw any keybinds in Starcraft? Anyone with similiar experience or any advices please?:D

Rapid is a tenkeyless keyboard (lacks the numpad) Quickfire TK lacks the arrow keys and dedicated insert, home, page up/down, delete, and end keys but includes the numpad. There may be other minor differences but that's the major one.
