To people asking about the Filcos and EliteKeyboards, go to the last few pages of that TL thread. CaptainFwiffo and I detailed most of the information about the Leopold boards that EliteKeyboards is going to have instead of the Filco ones. The TL;DR version is that the original designers of the Filco have a hand in it and it is actually an improvement on the Filco while being just a little cheaper. Basically, be optimistic. | ||

I know fruitdealer's KB is a Filco and that the Filco Majestouch has the red ESC key. I was wondering if this Rosewell one also has the RED Esc key since it's not mentioned, but shown in that long description from geekhack.org. | ||

FYI, I was just putting that there for the people worrying about the availability of Filcos. EliteKeyboards always shipping with a red escape key, but I haven't heard of anywhere else that does it, especially on non-Filco boards. I'm quite sure that you're out of luck unless you go to buy the keycap separately somewhere. It would have been in the product description of wherever you're buying it if it was there. | ||

I'm pretty sure you can get one from elite keyboards for 5 bux | ||

I know that they're very alike keyboards, but those caps are made specifically for the Majestouch. It's probably fine, but it would still suck to buy it and find that there's a problem with the fit. Edit: Brain fart. The escape key should be fine no matter what when it's a Cherry MX keycap. I think you only have to worry for the keys that have to fit in a row/pattern. | ||

With the amount of time my hands touch the keyboard I don't want to deal with all the fingerprints and the overall just having to deal with cleaning a glossy surface. | ||
