The Cherry Blues are by far the most responsive and i've tried Cherry Blacks and Browns as well. You definitely do not want browns as they are linear (not tactile) Cherry Blues are the only way to go my friend! Here's my Otaku: ![]() So the only letters you see are WASD? tactile gives a bounce depending on the switch you can feel when you engaged it before you bottom it out. Linear is a compete waste of ones money imo, might as well use a dome switch you can easily find cheap dome switch keyboards that require 60-80g to push down. And it's pretty much the same experience. tactile gives a bit better experience but it's hardly amazing, it's like audiophiles telling a person that the headset clearly sounds better on this 300 dollar cables vs my 10 dollar radio shack cables. Is it worth 100 bucks eh not really... I'd give a sold 60 for them but they don't change too much how i type of how well i type or how i enjoy it maybe 100. But not those 170-250 keyboards by then i hope you spend all day on keyboards and this little thing will make enough of a diff to help you. I already use a ergonomic keyboard that does well for keeping my hand relaxed. The big diff is sound these are much louder think of something between how you hear your keyboard now and if you ever used on a typewriter. It's why browns are popular. They still are loud compared to a cheap keyboard, probably very loud. Maybe it's not so much loud as a distinctive chatter.

I'd like to try out those keyboards/switches before buying. I have a pretty generic rubber dome keyboard but its tactile feedback is better than that of all the keyboards in computer stores here.

i chose this switch over the mx blues because i had quite a few people telling me that double pressing buttons on the blues was a bit different than a normal keyboard/other switches.

MX Browns are 45g tactile switches, meaning that there is a slight tactile point about halfway down the switch. The reason that people recommend cherry black switches for gaming is that they require more force to activate, which means that you would be less likely to accidentally press a nearby key. The drawback to this is that the greater force required to press individual keys makes typing a more stressful activity.

I would actually prefer a Topre Realforce, but they are way out of my price range. What I like most about Filco is that they are plain and simple. It's so hard to buy a basic keyboard these days. I don't want it slim, wireless, with USB slots, with media controllers or quick app openings, and I like having my Insert/Delete key section as well as a number pad.
