I personally us the tenkeyless black switch board. It did feel a little weird at first. But its the best keyboard I've ever used. One of my friends says it lacks response, but it was his first time ever using it. I would recommend it. Its extremely responsive and if you don't mind having to use a little more force to press it, its the board for you. Very rewarding experience though. (Quite honestly I'm sure you can't lose if you get any mechanical keyboard)

Filco with blue LEDs indicate brown switches. And you can even see the brown switch where he's removed a key.

My Filco with blue switches have green leds. And as far as i know the ones with black switches have red LEDs.

my alps 10keyless has blue leds. my friends brown otaku also has blue leds. but guess we cant forget that filco is pretty big in korea. theres so many rare keyboards there like the pink ones or the asian languages ones. i think theres customisable keys as well and topre have soo many diff keyboard setups as well

i am using a cherry g80-1800 with black switches and really like em. best part is, i got 2 for 2,50EUR each at ebay-germany.
would love to try a filco w browns, as soon as they release a german layout.

i watched the artosis gsl footage and love that tester got a nice mech keyboard not that cheap samsung rubber dome thing

I'm thinking of picking up one of these keyboards, most of them are not in stock until September 10th, but they do have the Majestouch Tactile Touch in stock. Since its a pricey investment already, did anyone forgo the NKRO edition for the cheaper one without it? I dont play much games currently besides SC2 so the extra bandwidth of the NKRO is probably not needed for me.

You're not pressing too many keys on SC2 anyway, so I would guess an SC2 gamer wouldn't need NKRO. In fact, how often does a gamer really need NKRO anyway/what type of gamer needs NKRO?

My friend let me borrow an Otaku Tenkeyless Brown and it's absolutely fantastic. I completely disagree with the guy that said not to get browns. Honestly, I stand by Brown and Black Cherry MX Switches for sure.

Found this thread right now just after ordering a Filco Tactile Touch, what coincidence. I feel thrilled but my friends think I'm completely bonkers for ordering a £110 (+ shipping) keyboard. I pity the fools. They know not the power of mechanical switches

FILCO is definitely worth it.

Also about the coresponding Switch/LED colors, it even shows it on their website (http://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=special&filter=fullsize). Brown Switch = Blue; Black Switch = Red; Blue Switch = Green

FPS games are really the only time I've encountered NKRO limitations. Crouching, moving forward, strafing left, jumping, and trying to switch weapons all at the same time would result in one key not registering at all. You will never be holding down 5 keys at once in an RTS.

if you have 400 apm maybe you need nkro XP prolly is a reason why no1 in the proleague used usb keyboards and their 6 keypress limitations

Any idea how many simultaneous key presses (excluding modifiers) the Tactile Touch (w/o NKRO) supports? I am considering getting one and probably will forgo the NKRO unless someone convinces me otherwise. I have a DT35 now and it supports 4 simultaneous key presses, not exactly sure about modifiers though. I tested this by holding down Q until it repeats, then W until it repeats while still holding Q, then E till it repeats while still holding Q and W, etc. Same works while holding CTRL and CTRL+SHIFT, not sure about three modifiers.

I do play some FPS games occasionally, but I still can't really imagine needing to press more than four keys with modifiers.

I decided to purchase Majestouch Tactile Touch and the only reason I would really want NKRO is for bragging rights. If you look at that video of tester playing on the Filco hes using the Tactile Touch without NKRO(silver Filco symbol). Well I'm excited to get it, there have been like 50+ people on here that just cant say enough good things about them. Coming from my cheap $5 DT35 I'm sure I'll be happy with the quality. I had a Steelseries 6g, and absolutely loved the feel of the mechanical keyboard, but it had a problem where it would randomly turn off during games and I've been using my old DT35 since.
