Surprised Reynor has such difficulties these days. I guess you do get "out of shape" quickly if you don't practice rigurously

Good call by GSL to put all foreigners in one qualifying group, just to make reaaaally sure not one one of them gets out...sucks though that Clem got away

Honest question: Did Reynor even play the qualifier? Or did he just give up after losing to Rogue and got replaced by Krystianer? It's a bit confusing on Liquipedia tbh. Same in the other group: Ryung disappears after losing and got replaced by GuMiho? Or is that some weird format I just don't get?

Reynor got beaten in winner by Rogue, then went on to lose to sOs in the loser bracket (saw it on stream) but probably not far enough to appear on LP loser bracket Happy that Maru seems sharp Clem is annoying using protoss against superior TvT players but hey, it works most of the time so I don’t blâme him

Ahhhhhhh...okay, that helps, thanks!

Does that mean Clem is residing in (or going to visit) Korea?

Yes, based on the requirement stated in the website.
So, is this Clem's first admission into Code S?

The Korean Zerg talent pool really needs more depth beyond just Rogue, RagnaroK, and Solar. Really missing Impact, he was such a consistent Code A regular and a true gatekeeper for the league.

Can Clem offrace during the playoff Code S tournament? I meant in bo5 series, can he interchanged between T and P regardless of any map?

There has not been new blood to the scene for about a decade, and older players retiring is the reason why.

I hoped those low tier-ranking Korean Zergs coming out to the scene. Otherwise we ended up with those consecutive three every tournament until Dark finished military service and decided to come back.
Protoss still has Nightmare while Terran has Percival who sometimes qualify and made into Code S. Sadly, we do not have that for Zerg.

I meant in bo5 series, can he interchanged between T and P regardless of any map? I think he can, the only problem would be if someone also wanted to race switch depending on opponent race I guess? Like a terran who would switch to zerg versus Protoss -> Clem does not want TvT so he goes P for PvT. But then the terran doesn’t want TvP so he goes Z for ZvP -> Clem then switches back to terran -> The other terran too and they are stuck in a loop
As for is he allowed to play protoss, then switch back to terran Even in TvT, I am not sure, but I doubt he does that anyways anymore He has been playing exclusively protoss versus terran competitively for more than a year already

Back in the day there's no way GSL would have allowed someone to switch races mid tournament I believe. Nowadays maybe he gets away with it again...
For me it's a win since I hate watching TvT

Maru played Protoss against Gumiho in GSL last year. I think you're just not allowed to switch to a different race during the series.

Interesting. Guess he'll be fine then.
Just saying back in the day things seemed to be far more rigurous. Like you needed a damn good reason to pause the game otherwise some sort of consequences were coming for you or your team iirc. But yeah these days things seem more lenient. Not a bad thing I suppose!
