This TvT is different, obviously Flash is exciting to watch full stop. I love how hard his final path might be. Sn0w, Light, Soma .... These are the best players of each race not named Flash. That is an amazing final starleague road. At the same time, Light is one of the best Terran players of the modern era and possibly the best terran of the right now. If Flash is truly experiencing the pain and discomfort per game as I have been led to believe, then I think Light may have a few advantages. One, Can he push Flash past his physical limitations and exhaust and inhibit him. If the option to split a map becomes Lights, will he fight to have an hour long battle right off the bat? Two, Flash may feel the need to rely on exact timing pushes and aggro plays, while cutting corners, like vs Sn0w, if so can Light read that and use that to his advantage. Three, Light has way more to prove then Flash, Nothing would mean more to a terran player then to defeat Flash right here and right now. Flash has been winning tv matches since he was high school aged, he will always come ready to play an impressive match, the question is not will Flash play good, the question is can he be defeated while playing so good. I do not know. Light used highly technical builds, and thought-out timings, phases and endings for his match vs JD. I expect the same level of care put into his early-middlegame positions here. Flash has probably been rolling dice on his number of CC first games or something. I am excited. If Light wins I will be very proud of him. If Flash wins, we get to see The All Time Champion vs The Champion of Now. People writing Flash off vs Soma are Wild. Wild. Never write off Flash in a match. He's insane. | ||

I went with Flash for my liquibet, how could I not. But the more I think about this match the more I think Light will take it in the end. And Flash losing a bo1 against JD stubbornly going a build he knew had issues says little about his chances against Soma. | ||
