I had a Steelseries 6g, and absolutely loved the feel of the mechanical keyboard, but it had a problem where it would randomly turn off during games and I've been using my old DT35 since. the 6g turns itself off ??????? S: thats worrying.. i think many of the mechanical boards like das and some filcos included come from coskey or costar i dunno abt where razer and steelseries get theres from but its bad if these decades old keyboard oems are starting to lose quality from this rennaissance of mechanical keyboards. i think the das keyboard was inferior to the filco cherries because it would bug out as well S: | ||

I never attempted to replace it at the time which I should of, but unfortuntaley I just got unlucky with a bad keyboard. I took it out yesterday and gave it to a a family member. I'm sure I'll soder the wire connected to the board if it becomes a problem. Although they dont game and keeping the keyboard in place usually is enough for the 6g to function. | ||

You can make your own "ghetto reds" by taking the spring from a blue or a brown and combining it with the stem from a black (a red is a linear switch like a black but lighter weight like a brown or blue). You can make your own Cherry clears (tactile like browns, but heavier like blacks) in a similar way. But Deck sells some keyboards with clears. | ||
