Rumors and indications point to it being delayed until October.

Many thanks

TX650 V2 is more than enough for that if you don't plan to put in plumbing.

Quality and price
A good cheap modular PSU in europe is the A-data HM 650W. Its 50 euro here, a complete steal. Another cheap modular PSU is the xfx xxx edition 650W (~70 euro)
Try looking around for one of those.
|
|
I'd rather get the XFX Core 650W than the Corsair TX650 V2, since the Corsair version has only 2 PCIe connectors (instead of the 4 like the XFX) and uses a significantly louder fan + fan profile combination. A-DATA HM is fine and often a pretty good deal if you are okay with 2 PCIe connectors and want something modular.
I think NOX uses outdated Super Flower designs. Before Golden Green, Super Flower wasn't considered that good. They have some other decent budget units too now I think, but I wouldn't bother with the older stuff when there are much better alternatives available.
|
The A-data hm does have 4 connectors so you could just buy two extra cables.
|
True about the connectors. But the point still stands, you don't need some wild 800W thing for that build. A decent or better 650W is fine.
|
I can't find the a-data at such low price, and the corsair is a little more expensive than the nox and it has only 2 pcie connectors, also not modular, are you sure it is that bad? it's little brother 700w got a decent review. Could you tell me the pros/cons of 4 х 12 V lines?

Hey everyone. So, I bought my parts and assembled my computer about a month ago. I'm getting occasional BSOD, but I don't think it really warrants a whole new thread for my one, specific problem. Can any of you guys help?
My relevant computer's specs: + Show Spoiler +i5-2500k MSI P67A-G43 (B3) 8GB RAM XFX Radeon HD 6870 XFX 450W Pro Core Edition OCZ Solid 3 60GB SSD WD Green 2TB HDD
I'm getting a KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR, with STOP code 0x0000007A. Sometimes I get the 0x000000F4 code as well. Not sure exactly what data is relevant on the BSOD, so included is a picture of the entire thing ^.^
+ Show Spoiler +
Many thanks for your help in advance
EDIT: Oh, Event Viewer! I have critical errors with source "Kernel-Power", Event ID of 41, and Task Category of (63), if that's of any help.
EDIT2: Ran a Memtest, failed it. Testing individual sticks now, but hopefully that's the only problem.

Hey,
I'm pretty new when it comes to building computers and looking to build my first one somewhat soon and was looking for input and advice, so here goes:
What is your budget?
Around 1000$ and I already own monitors, keyboards, mice, headphones, etc.
What is your resolution?
1920 x 1080 for the main monitor, have another monitor which has a max resolution of 1280x1024. Plan to have both hooked up at the same time; the 1280x1024 monitor will just be used mostly for convenience like being able to watch a stream or having a browser open while playing a game on my main monitor
What are you using it for?
Gaming and streaming at least 720p and 25 fps. My upload speed is usually at least 3 mbps. Games I play include SC2, HoN, LoL, and I eventually plan to play Diablo 3, Dota 2, and BF3 in the near future
What is your upgrade cycle?
I imagine at least a year .
When do you plan on building it?
Within a month or two.
Do you plan on overclocking?
Don't have any plans, but I'm not throwing the idea out.
Do you need an Operating System?
No.
Do you plan to add a second GPU for SLI or Crossfire?
Not Sure if I need to for what I want to do with my computer.
Where are you buying your parts from?
I have a fry's thats about 40 minutes away, but so far, all I've looked at are products on Newegg
This is what I've come up with so far for my build:
Case Lian Li Lancool PC-K7B @ $89.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112154
CPU Intel Core i7-2600 3.4GHz @ $299.00 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115071
Motherboard ASUS P8H61-M @ $72.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131724
RAM G.Skill 2x4GB 1333MHz @ $49.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231311
Video Card ASUS GTX560 @ $199.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121446
HD Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB @ $59.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185
Optical Drive ASUS DRW-24B1ST @ $20.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204
PSU Not sure what my current build needs
So Far: $794
As I said I'm pretty new with customs so I don't know if I need a heatsink or not and what kind of power supply my current build demands.

FYI the i7-2600 is $299 not $209, or else it would be a hell of a deal.

I need to build a computer that can rival this in performance and price. preferably better than that. It's for my parents and I'd like to set them up with at least sandy bridge Intel or a quad core AMD. It doesn't need gosu graphics or anything. Just streaming movies and stuff. My dad likes to monkey around on photoshop as well. thanks for any help you can give!

So I'm probably just gunna buy something from here because I have no technical skill, but I was wondering between a few of the things that didn't seem to be listed on the main page.
It said that the 6950 2gig is recommended over the 570, so I'm gunna go with that.
For CPU I'm going with the i7 2600K.
PSU 850 watt thermaltake.
My question is about the motherboard. For the things I listed, is there any real difference between H67, P67, Z68, and X58, or between the motherboards in those categories (like GA-Z68A-D3-B3 vs GA-Z68X-UD4-B3)? Any recommendations?
Edit: Looks like I can get the "Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3-B3", "Gigabyte GA-H67MA-USB3-B3", and "Gigabyte GA-P67A-D3-B3" for relatively the same price. I assume I should just pick the one that usually costs the most?

Coming from someone who, for his own use, is a massive EVGA fan, you made what should be a solid choice, if the new mobo team is up to scratch. The warranty and support are excellent with them, and if you expect to use the features, their stuff comes pretty fully loaded.
Make sure to register it online, and post your rig on modsrigs to get entered in drawings for massive prizes, like $1k in EVGA shit for your PC. http://www.evga.com/modsrigs/
