Good sound quality and you notice the surround sound, especially when watching movies.

5.1 is always a plus if it's actually any good. To this date, I haven't experienced any that I actually think are better than stereo.

I'll get myself some really good AKG headphones for about 50-60€ and then get the cheapest 2,50€ish clipmicro I can find. The AKG headphones will outright kill every headset in the 50-120€ pricerange soundwise which is most important to me. I've checked the AKG K 530 of a friend and my Sennheiser PC 150 sounded like cheap shovelware-earphones in comparison! And then I can still use that micro when need to talk to someone (doesn't happen that often)

I actually have a megalodon - and when ever i plug it in my sc2 drops to 5-10 FPS, i even unplugged it and the instant i did fps was back up to normal. While it's kinda comfy - and the controls are ok - it's overall very cheap, breaks easy and terribly buggy, if you bought it and it wasn't brand named it would be like 25 dollars max.

Sennheiser PC 151: + Very comfortable and light + Good price (about 50€) + Decent sound, ok bass + Very durable (have owned them for 4 years, then a cable broke and Sennheiser repaired them FOR FREE and I didn't even have a receipt) + Very good mic Razer Carcharias: + Ultra comfortable! + Braided cable + Very good sound, strong bass + Ok price (about 60€, got mine for 36€ though) - parts are very light, that makes it look a little cheap I just got them today, so I dunno about durability and haven't thoroughly checked the mic quality. I already like them more than my old Sennheisers though. Steelseries Siberia v2 (non USB) + Looks very cool + Decent mic - Terrible sound, very weak bass - Uncomfortable on head/ears after a few hours - High price for what you get (about 80€) I bought them to replace my Sennheisers but had to send them back because they were so terrible. I would recommend both the Sennheiser PC151 and the Razer Carcharias. Both are open headphones, keep that in mind. The Sennheisers isolate the sound better than the Carcharias though. If your willing to spend a little more money, I'd take a look at the Sennheiser PC161, I haven't tried them but theyre supposed to be an upgraded version of the PC151, with better sound (more bass). As a general rule I recommend an USB headset or an external USB soundcard. I got me a cheap (12€) USB soundcard for the Carcharias and now the problem with slightly hearing those internal computer noises is gone. Also your mates on Skype/TS/Vent will thank you for the infinitely better recording quality compared to an onboard soundcard (no more white noise).
