I LOVE the PC350 and the quality is perfect on them. Mic is clear and crisp and the sound is amazing, one of the top tier headset imo.

While it's kinda comfy - and the controls are ok - it's overall very cheap, breaks easy and terribly buggy, if you bought it and it wasn't brand named it would be like 25 dollars max. It's a what 7.1 surround headset it wouldn't be 25 bucks it's alright but i still prefer my G35 although it does need drivers to work it's one of the few 7.1 headsets that work with sc2 currently it also features dam good sound quality and position only porb i have with it is that it feels like imma break it sooner or later.

Most headsets are overpriced. Especially gaming headsets. You can find much better sound quality for much cheaper. But their primary concern is positioning, which is muck in Starcraft. I can't really rage because people are looking for a headset, which means they want a microphone, but all of them are overpriced. Get a decent pair of headphones, get a five dollar Zalman microphone, and you're good. But headsets are streamlined, so I can see why it'd be more useful. I prefer listening to music nowadays more than playing games, since you can't really work and play games at the same time. So I would prefer buying headphones for their sound and build quality, not their positional strength. Currently using Denons.

For FPS, they have their uses, but again, I would prefer a good headphone. They are very limited in their use. I don't understand what some people are talking about. Starcraft? Positioning? Are you mad? There are no positional cues in Starcraft, only sound cues. Most headsets are overpriced. Especially gaming headsets. You can find much better sound quality for much cheaper. It's gaming headsets not just sc2 headset my point is logitech drivers tend to work better although G35 has its faults with some games the biggest being MW:2 needs a hotfix to properly work. There is also something called a digital connection, The G35 is usb meaning it doesn't need tacky gold stapled on it for a great connection, and they are great for listening to music most likely as good as a 100 dollar headphone if not better sure you can't use it with your mp3 player but i don't own one, There is also the thing about stream lined G35 only has 1 cable the USB cable it's great for using it with a bring your own great lan not so great because it need drivers to work. You also show your bias by saying buy a 5 dollar zalman microphone, something that's been said a ton in the thread already. Microphone mean shit they generally have worse shielding for static then headphones do when you plug them into a computer port any 5 dollar microphone will do. You also forget that the 7.1 headset can also be used for watching movies. Anyways the thread is gaming headset not music headphones, it's a luxury not a necessity so don't go splitting hairs about a cost.

PC 360 is the new flagship headset for professional gamers. Sennheiser Communications has raised the bar for pro gaming equipment again. As the follow-up to the hugely successful PC 350, the PC 360 had a lot to live up to – and it doesn’t disappoint. Sennheiser speaker technology and a top-notch noise canceling microphone deliver outstanding hi-fi performance. But it’s the open acoustics and intuitive controls that will really get your pulse racing. The open design creates a noticeably more natural soundscape and ensures continuous airflow to keep you cool. Luxurious, powerful, innovative and intuitive – at the very highest level, the new PC 360 is the new headset to beat. ![]()

Anyways the thread is gaming headset not music headphones, it's a luxury not a necessity so don't go splitting hairs about a cost. As for microphones meaning nada, the five dollar Zalman microphone (well it used to be five dollars) is one of the best casual microphones around, without getting into the ridiculous league. Did I mention anything about static shielding for the headphones? Amplifiers? Sources? No. I just said, quality headphone. Nothing about USB cables, or connections. USB connection is superior because many low quality motherboards have a decent sound card, but it's not protected from static. Back panel USB connections overcomes the questionable integrated sound card. The G35 costs over a hundred dollars, so one would expect it sounds as good as a hundred dollar headphone. I'm talking about gaming headsets sacrificing sound quality for this '5.1 surround sound experience.' With headphones that are made for sound quality instead of gaming, you're getting better sound, for gaming and for music. For movies? I don't understand how a surround sound headphone would be better from a quality headphone. As long as the headphone isn't terrible, it's soundstage is good enough for you to be able to visualize any direction. The thread is about gaming headsets, and I'm giving a viable alternative. Headsets and headphones are a luxury. I don't see where you are going with that. If people want to get the most out of their money, it's a possible solution. The other solutions are simpler and easier to acquire, which is why they are common. Sennheiser's gaming line looks amazing to be honest, and the microphone is great, but the PC350 sounds too much like a lesser version of the HD555. Didn't have either too long however.

I was wondering what are your suggestions, I'm hoping for a not so expensive one ,but it has to last sometime, because I've had one that broke within a month. Thank you all, and would highly appreciate it. I am currecntly using a 5.1 Surround Sound USB Headphone which also comes with a mic. It is perfect for PC gaming and movies. The adjustable microphone is perfect for online gaming or internet calling. I was able to spend the 50 plus dollars I saved on the headphones on whiskey instead, so I was able to hear my zealots get smashed while I did a little of the same. A good purchase. ![]()

5.1 / 7.1 headsets are completely useless. 'Gaming' headsets (SteelSeries, Razer etc) are generally OK, altho I wouldn't buy any of these as I think there are better options in those price ranges.
