This was just terrible and killed everything. We need a lot more independence.

Of course, but you know, this is TL, so we need not one, not two, not three, but five separate people telling how the new system sucks even more (when they don't even know what it is yet).

I wouldn't mind if challenger league goes away to be honest, and instead we get a high turnover qualification system with seeding from one premiere to the next for the top placing players. The money being spent on challenger would be better invested into other things like daily or weekly cups linked to ladder worth small sums for a win and other such things for players NOT in premiere league. So those that aren't in premiere can do stuff. With the challenger league not taking up so much broadcasting time it also opens up the scene to more tournaments and personal player streams once again which is what we had more of before WCS 2013 really kicked into gear.

What will happen if more koreans actually move to north america and europe like MC and MMA and they still keep winning? are you then going to ban them from tournaments because of their ethnicity? the "residency and region lock" argument wont work anymore.. lol They? Blizzard is only doing this (if they even are) because most people wanted region locks. Don`t act as if Blizzard always wanted this because they could have done that this season.

KR Code S and A will receive a big boost in funding compared to EU/NA, maybe even adding on another league. Everything is offline. 24/7 WCS stream with variety of content from the Premiere Leagues and Challenger league. Hope: They will add on a team league system similar to LCS. Bottom line: The scene is going to be much smaller in the player pool. There will be less overall broadcast games by WCS. Scaling down content amount and increasing the quality of the content will keep the scene alive for another year at least. In the end: The scene is going to limp along until the release of LoTV at least. Significant improvements are needed in LoTV to grow the scene. THERE WILL BE PROFESSIONAL STARCRAFT 2 FOR ANOTHER YEAR!!!!!
