It's not that difficult in a long game to find some time for blue flame, and hellbats still tank well and still do good splash damage.

Hellbats are still meaty units, better meat-tanks then marauders, so terran will use them even after chance, and when terran realises he have already tech lab on factory researching blue flame, maybe he will mix in some thors/tanks as well.

I didn't mean mech. I just think that Terran TvP composition should has some variations and diversities, like any other matchups.

LOL I wish I could share your enthusiasm. Old and stale strategies are awesome.

Might lead to Banshee vs Banshee in TvT for a while but the counters to that are far more reliable than what was used to counter Hellbats drops.

Terran have some of the units with the coolest use in the game. The Hellbats being one of the most boring units were replacing lots of more interesting strategies. The banshee is going to be very scary but it's at least much more interesting than Hellbats currrently are ![]()

Hell no it ain't. Personally watching terran stay on low tier units (no medivacs are not tier 3 in my eyes as that'd make bcs tier 5 which doesn't exist) vs an army that'll end up only consiting of high tier units isn't even close to fun or interesting. Atleast the addition of hellbats forced protoss to be less zealot heavy in the midgame. I just wish they'd make mech viable to tvp can actually be decent to watch for me... But I g uess at the end of the day this is just personal preferences, I guess some people actually enjoy watching colossi/storm/archon vs bio. Really liking the changes, tvt should be t he great matchup it used to be now, I just hope the 110 sec blue flame upgrade requirement doesn't result in progamers not going mech to too much.

Well you can still do hellbat drops; they just won't be immediately as powerful. They can still be fantastic two minutes later, especially if you can push Protoss's army out of position. I see it as removing "automatic damage" and making it slightly risky (which is what should happen with any race's harassment options, imo).

Why on earth would ever transition into mech when mech isn't substantially more powerful and you need a whole different upgrade path for it? We do not have BW tanks in SC2. Bio into air and mech into air are both viable transitions, bio into mech will never happen.

They should have reduced blue flame and servo cost though, but maybe next time. People won't be happy if Hellion drops return now. No more free Medivacs and more worker losses, but not that much missed mining time anymore.
