Sadly it was expected.
Chances are this will kill mech play and foreign terran resurgence.

The banshee change is pointless.
Less hellbats will automatically mean more banshees in TvT but that's about it.
Won't stop Blizzard from taking credit for bringing them back with this buff.

I still think hellbats do too much damage to non-light units - they are supposed to be anti-light specialists, yet they do almost a stalker's full (+bonus) DPS, plus splash, to non-light targets. Maybe switch the base/bonus damage to 12 (+6 vs light) plus the extra +12 to light with the upgrade.

I think this could bring in some new openings. Or maybe it will cause Terran to turtle more without doing a harassment style opening. Who knows.

The change is awesome, not only will TvT consist of something else than only hellbat drops early game, it also gotten all the one trick pony Terrans to realize that they have to do something else than hellbat drops now if they want to win a game.

i like that they realise hellbat drops are retarded, but i dont think pre igniter is the simple solution they hope it will be. the fact is even later in the game when defences are secured and whatnot, a hellbat drop still pays for itself 99% of the time. if the defender has to pull workers and run away for 20 seconds? even killing 0 units you are probably ahead from that drop. kill a few workers and that 5 second worker pull is already too much.

so this change will stop these super fast hellbat drop timings from being as strong, but later in the game hellbat drops are still going to be really really powerful and much easier to execute than defend.

I just can't see banshees having any role in a TvP where the MSC exists.

For TvZ it can be viable, and obviously good in TvT.

If they buff cloak how do you stop banshee marine push when you don't have an overseer. Cloak is gonna be done before lair.

Then it is colossally stupid.
Widow mines will always provide more efficient cloak based harassment in TvP and TvZ.
And if mines can't do the job then banshees will be even worse.

Just like when they buffed DTs, the earliest possible cloaked attack isn't going to be any faster. Its just cheaper.
