Instant speed upgrade might be a bit too much IMO. I think it's more reasonable to move the speed upgrade to either the Cybernetics Core or the Robo Facility and perhaps make it a bit cheaper and/or shorten research time.

"buff something else" is not a valid answer to the question being asked in the poll.

"buff something else" means "no" to the question being asked.

If you want to keep the question and "buff something else" answer the same, "no" should be changed to "Protoss is fine right now, it doesn't need any buffs at all"

This is really bad to be honest. Late game TvP is already hard enough. Every time a protoss decides to use warp prisms late game i get raped simply because its to hard to keep up with. Warp prisms are literately drop ships that you get instant reinforce from.

On the other side of things, when i play protoss vs terran or zerg and if i get that 4+ base econ i use double prism harass and its broken. I don't even need speed and it still gets alot done. I guess what im trying to say here is it takes a terran player to play protoss properly. :p

The change ended up forcing Terran to go for double upgrades as soon as possible, so the gas can't go anywhere else at the start limiting the options a terran has and making them weak against some early game stuff. Removed the building upgrade from TvP you could say.
And Protoss still doesn't go for shield upgrades and only for 3/3 keeping their army at the equivalent of 2/2 of the other races wondering why they lose.
So every doomsday prediction that was reasonable happened.

I don't get why so many people are bringing up proleague as a valid claim that protoss is fine.. its a BO1 game snipe format - that is where protoss shines, which is also why they are a good ladder race.

In a BoX's series, they get progressively worse the longer it is, that is why there are generally so few tosses in the deeper rounds of GSL. But more importantly, the fact that there is never a consistent performing protoss in the GSL format over the longer term is the ultimate proof (imo) that the race has issues. Just look at the players who are close to the Nestea award: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/GOMTV_Global_StarCraft_II_League/Code_S_Streaks : There is just so few protoss players in comparison to zerg & terran. Why is that? This isn't a QQ that they can't win, as I believe pretty much everyone agrees the race is just fundamentally flawed.

Though people may disagree, there is actually no safe standard way to play the race - even the most stable macro toss Rain, takes risks in the way he plays, because he plays too safe that he is almost always playing from behind. Pretty much everything that protoss does is based around catching your opponent off guard one way or the other (be it all-in's, economic greed etc.), once figured out, they are incredibly vulnerable to being exploited. That is why I doubt there would ever be a protoss that can hit RO8/RO4's consecutive seasons like an innovation or a symbol.

Back to the patch idea itself, I think its worth trying out, if its broken then they can just revert the change anytime (just like bunkers!).

I still think they need to look what goes IN to the warp-prism more than the warp-prism itself. Tweak with how effective units are when directly controlled to bump up harass potentinal. And I don't mean how the warp-prism can send an entire bank warp-gate reinforcements into an opponents base. But old-school shuttle play and storm harass. It'is for this reason that I have never liked the idea of the Oracle as a harass unit. I would much prefer making ground units used in conjuction with the warp-prism used for harss than air-spell-caster equivalent of the Void Ray.

Maybe with this warp prism buff they should also set a limit on the amount of units you can warp in with each warp prism. This wouldn't make it a complete buff.

Maybe this isn't widely known, but the charge upgrade DOES apply a movement speed buff for zealots. You can also turn off the autocast by right-clicking the icon on the zealots themselves (not known because they don't have priority in the command bar over other spell casters).

Shameless OneGoal plug for those who want a stronger gateway protoss not reliant on forcefield

I still wish they would remove Warp Gate and buff gateway units.
I know it would pretty much require Blizzard to rework the whole Protoss race, but I think it would be for the better.

What about HT warped in by WP fields take twice as long to warp in (so like 8-10 seconds) but spawn with 75 energy to promote aggressive storm drops instead of making WP faster?

This is exactly my thought.

Protoss drops simply aren't interesting right now because they have absolutely nothing worth dropping. warping in zealots in their main is effective, but oh so boring from a spectator's perspective.

I desperately wish they would design a unit worth dropping/harassing with for protoss, until they do I really don't give a shit what they do with the warp prism. Protoss as a race would benefit so much if they nerfed/reworked collosi and rebalanced the race/other races around units like templar and reavers instead of collosi. Wishful thinking.

Don't take me for a hater, though, there is a lot I like about SC2. Just protoss I feel is really a boring race at the moment, imo.

You still have the problem that storm currently does so little damage that almost all pros/better players will pull their workers without losing any before. Still, I really like that idea. I wish they would give storm a damage buff, possibly in conjunction with your change (and of course needed to nerf toss in a few other ways I would think).
