Your dream for a long time was to join a KeSPA team and now it has become a reality.

My pro gamer dreams have halfway come true. The rest is up to me to make come true.

Why did you want to join a KeSPA team?

In the beginning, I practiced BW really hard and I also practiced a lot with Korean players. Among those people, when I saw FnaticOz's performances, I made a decision that I was going to join a KeSPA team.

You could have also joined a ESF team and yet you decided on KeSPA?

I had planned on joining a KeSPA team from the start. However, since KeSPA hadn't transitioned to SC2 yet, I had to wait. I had the opportunity to join LG-IM and TSL but training under a strict practice environment found favor in my eyes so I chose to join a KeSPA team.

How did you start playing SC2?

I didn't play it from the very get go. I started around the middle. I was moved by Mvp's performances so I transitioned to SC2.

You had a chance to play against KeSPA players during the MvP invitational. If you had to evaluate their skills?

Their strategies and their timing attacks were phenomenal. But I noticed a lot of scenarios where they lost the games they should have won because of wrong engagements. Although now, I'm sure they are all good.

If you had to evaluate your advantages?

I have confidence in my meching abilities for TvT and TvZ.

How did you feel when you found out you would be joining Team 8?

After the test was over, I saw one of the observers type "so close". After I saw that, I was really sad. But then afterwards, I received news that I had gotten accepted and I felt really happy. It's because this was something I had wanted for years.

It's been six years since the last foreigner joined a KeSPA team and the ones who did get in had little to no success.

The results are not what's important. I just have to do well. If you see those players that failed before me you can still learn a lot from them.

If Team 8 uses you for Proleague then you could end up facing EG-TL eventually.

I heard that nothing like this has ever happened before in the history of Proleague. If I do get sent out, I think it'll be both fun and awkward. None the less, I am sure that foreign fans will really enjoy it. If I want to get sent out though, I need a lot of practice.

What do you want to learn by joining Team 8?

I want to learn how to play TvP.

Any favorite player?

I really love Woongjin Stars Light. My ID has something to do with him also.

Now that you've achieved your dream, what are your goals?

It's to do well. In order to do that I need to do my best. I also want to learn a lot of things from other players. I promise that I will not disappoint. I hope I get more Korean fans and foreign fans from here on out (laughs).

Gogogo Juanito! I'll have to ROOT against him if he does face EGTL but only then.

great for MajOr! Thanks for the translation Seeker!

Is he part of the team, or a trainee/practice partner?

I guess we'll know once the registered players for Round 2 come out.

He's part of the team but I'm not sure if he'll be able to play in Round 2 already. Revival for example couldn't play for EGTL, so not sure :/

Wtf is wrong with korean teams, there are plenty of great players way better than Major outside, with better manners, but nope, better pick a low-mid tier pro, which best accomplishment was winning WCS Mexico (its not like there's only maybe 1 or 2 good players there).

I don't get it.

And how many of them are willing to stay in Korea for the whole time? Right, pretty much none.

My guess is that most don't want to stay in Korea or aren't interested in joining a Korean team, let alone applying to see how they do and then deciding from there.

Good on MajOr. He kept trying and eventually reached his life dream. Good luck to thee!

Not everyone has the will to work as hard as Major wants to. Results are not everything here.

Calm down you redneck. Even though I'm not a fan of his, I have to admit that Major is really really really good.

Actually, I've been wondering about this. Note that I am really happy for Major but if he's so good why hasn't he won anything noteworthy?

Well if their rules were made beforehand and don't allow him to play in Round 2 then actually KeSPA is the one who has to say no.
