And thanks for the translation, I'll update his fanclub with the news when I get back from jury duty tt
Definitely. You can be the best player by far in a ladder sense, but if you have a mu that isn't quite on par with your others, it can take a lot of luck to actually do well in tournaments. Major is way too underrated. If his t vs p gets better, which is very foreseeable, people will realize why Korean teams are interested him, if they aren't aware now.

Wtf is wrong with korean teams, there are plenty of great players way better than Major outside, with better manners, but nope, better pick a low-mid tier pro, which best accomplishment was winning WCS Mexico (its not like there's only maybe 1 or 2 good players there).
I don't get it.
Major has an absolutely absurd work ethic, and probably is the most determined to stay in Korea of any foreign pro.
Absolutely love, love, love his mindset and it's something the vast majority of foreigners lack.
He doesn't care about the money or fame, the dude just wants to practice Starcraft in the most beneficial and strict environment as possible. This is what Starcraft is all about, and one of the main reasons I could never truly get into the foreign scene of SC2. Major is now the first foreigner I can truly say I'm a fan of.
Most foreigners want a shortcut. They don't put nearly as much value into hardwork or dedication.
Good luck Major. I can't wait to watch you wreck EG-TL ass.
Most people have said it already. It is his mindset, attitude towards to the game and his fluant control over the game. These characteristics you can work with and train and he will likely improve.
You can have talent and a 'natural touch' to the game but if you aren't going to work hard and improve it doesn't matter how talented you are.
Congrats! Big step. Despite his controversies, he is one of my favorite foreign players. Never pulls any bullshit about Foreign vs Korean, or makes excuses for people. he just loves starcraft, practices hard and doesn't seem to care that much about fame and fortune rather than just being the best he can be in game.
And to those who bring up his results and why not other foreigners: He actually has good mechanical skill and I'm pretty sure is a top practice partner for many people, and was also a great practice partner to koreans when he was living with TSL and in Korea. Not that many foreigners have good mechanical skills, even the ones that win things its mostly just their race and strategies/builds and they perform well under pressure. Majors biggest hurdle seems to be nerves and pressure, so hopefully he can start to overcome that and maybe he will grow immensely as a player.
While I don't really follow the foreigner scene, I was aware how much Major wanted to join a Kespa team, so I'm happy for him!
Hope he gets sent out at least once in a while, would be fun to see. Considering how small Team 8's line up is, it's not entirely impossible he gets sent out if he prepares well (and/or if one of his team members is sick on play day).

He won more than 10K$ in 2012. He's young He practice hard He played BW before, dreamed proleague for years Korea normal income means low to u North Europe boys, but acceptable to a Mexican boy. Proleague will be his main. He's best 3 in Latin America. Thorzain from NorthEurope, Stephano from France,Huk from Canada,Idra from USA,now a Spanish speaker, competitive, young, growth potential, love proleague, maybe he could take a new continent to SC2,make proleague and SC2 more worldwide.............
give me a reason don't pick this boy pls.
Eh, 10k isn't mindblowing. What I meant anyway that the hype doesn't reflect his results, not yet anyway. Yes this was a good move from T8 by all means. They lost JD this year and a foreign player definitely gives exposure.
Good to see him fulfill that dream. Hopefully everything works out for him, cause the mindset seems to be in the right place. We need that good foreigner Terran hope than has been somewhat missing in the scene compared to all the zerg heroes (and to a smaller extent Protoss).
I am majorly pulling for him to succeed and become better than the majority of players!

i don't think so. The man has dreamed of this for years and years, and he has finally realized his dream. Unless something extreme happens, I don't see him leaving Team 8, much less Korea.
You could have also joined a ESF team and yet you decided on KeSPA?
I had planned on joining a KeSPA team from the start. However, since KeSPA hadn't transitioned to SC2 yet, I had to wait. I had the opportunity to join LG-IM and TSL but training under a strict practice environment found favor in my eyes so I chose to join a KeSPA team.
I've never been so impressed with major or excited to see what he can do. gogo!

That's what I was wondering too. I can't see a link with the name MajOr so maybe he'll be changing his name again. I'm pulling for T8CuteAngel.
