While I don't think bad of EG for having the resources to do this, I would like there to be some variety in my players too. It isn't as cut and dry as some people are making it. | ||

I think most small teams just aren't willing or capable of shelling out a contract to keep a player like Stephano. I don't see why teams are entitled to keep players that they don't value as highly as other teams. Edit: I know that you're not necessarily saying that teams are entitled to players, but that's the impression I get from a lot of posts on this subject. It seems like people are advocating for the team more than the players. I don't think a cap is even close to necessary at this point | ||

They have to wait until the contract with the other team is over. By then the player has either passed their hotstreak/prime or once they get into the eg house their skill takes a dump or doesn't grow like the rest of the scene and they disappear from the scene. And then they buy the next big name to keep their numbers up to appease their sponsors. | ||

I don't know many football (European) fans that think the current state of the game is very healthy and positive. Especially the older ones that have been around through the 80s / early 90s, or earlier when the game was much less corrupt on every level. | ||
