Think before you post. This should go without saying, there are so many people making absolutely idiotic comments in this thread. If you have nothing constructive to say, please don't say anything. |
I searched and only found one thread on the topic, but it was four days ago and was closed. Now a new source has surfaced and I think it is time to start discussing it. If mods still disagree, please close this (or edit the title as you like).

Part of article:
StarCraft II player Ilyes "Stephano" Satouri, North American Star League Season 3 Champion and the most consistent non-Korean player of 2012 thus far, will have his current contract to the French-based team Millenium come to an end on September 1. Rumors have swirled on what Stephano's next move would be, with several teams--including his current one--making bids on the 19-year old Frenchman.
Millenium eSports Manager Jean-Marc "Bjoran" Gaudin has confirmed with GameSpot that Stephano has declined the team's offer, and will not be re-signing. Sources close to the situation tell GameSpot that Stephano will sign with Evil Geniuses, which was said to have made the most lucrative offer among the professional teams, with Millenium close behind. One team executive said it's "pretty much a done deal with Evil Geniuses".
What do you guys think?

I think everyone by now expected Stephano to join EG, not joining them would be more surprising
Another really good player disappearing from the tourney scene
Yeah, it would be nice to see him going into direction HuK went.
Oh, wait..
I could totally see this happen. Stephano's in it to make as much money as possible before retiring to get on with med school, and EG seems to be one of the most established non korean teams in terms of budget / sponsorship.
Stephano will probably have a six figure contract like HuK so he does not even have to win any tournaments.
Well we wait and see I guess. EG is going to be unstoppable if they keep this up.
I hope Mill gives him a better offer so he remains there. I don't want to see him in EG because lets not kid or selfs, they are notr known for there practice. :p

Huk is on 6 figures? wtf that is crazy
EG is gonna start to kill all the foreign competition soon, happy for them getting Stephano even thou it was already kinda expected.
seriously why EG?? Alot of players who are good in the past and then join EG, we already know what happened to them...
IMStephano would be great :D
but i think either SK or EG gonna pick him up

Neither is Stephano, so I guess it's a perfect fit.
That aside, I hope it doesn't happen just because I'm sick of EG picking up every top foreigner. Some variety would be nice.

Meh not to sure what to think about this if it happens
Stephano slump incoming?
Seeing as Stephano doesn't need a good practice environment anyway, his fans shouldn't be worried.
Looks like a good move for both parties to me, EG could always use the talent and training partner while Stephano could use the money. Win win as long as the EG curse doesn't make him slump. :p

only good player to fall after joining EG was huk imho, and he was pretty decent for the first 6 months. thorzain was always sorta wacky, demuslim is still a force to be reckoned with, idra is idra, machine, incontrol and lzgamer werent top top top tier to begin with. JYP is getting better in EG....
