Think before you post. This should go without saying, there are so many people making absolutely idiotic comments in this thread. If you have nothing constructive to say, please don't say anything.

Machine also is very valuable to the sponsors even if he doesnt do that well in tournaments. He is in all of those kingstonhyperx commercials etc. There is more value to teams then just doing well in tournaments. or they could get someone who is good in tourneys and commercials, plus it must feel pretty shitty to be on the team as the "commercial guy"

In a lot of EU countries you actually just snap your finger and you get into medical school or law school. You know there is a world outside of the US with different education systems etc. This is a pretty ridiculous statement to say the least. Norway isn't a part of the EU but I think the school systems are pretty similiar, and to get into med-school you need ~58 "points" (these points are determined by your average grade * 10, with grades being on a scale of 1-6, 1 being the lowest and 6 the highest). So getting into medschool is no joke, at least not here but IDK with other euro countries.

The first year is insanely hard (did a quick search, seems like about 20% manage to pass it). Next years are easier though but still require a ton of work... This is insane, that's the same fail rate as navy seals.

It's incredibly difficult to stay at the top in SC2, the competition is fierce and the game just isn't discovered enough yet. The best player in the world can lose to a random guy on the ladder. EG generally recruits the players doing the best. That means for players like Puma, Idra, Huk, Thorzain etc, the only way they can go is down. If you recruit a player on a hotstreak, chances are they won't be able to maintain it indefinitely. This is wrong on so many levels... EG doesn't recruit GSL champions so they can always get better, especially when they're in such well sponsored team. Players don't enter teams to get worse, they usually do to keep improving themselves with the help of top coaches and practice with other top players. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Yeah, even Puma and JYP, who have "Korean work ethic". I love how all EG discussions always seem to loop back to the idea that players shouldn't get paid money.
