Hmm...can someone help me here? I just got 1.5.2 and now when units die, for example drones/zerglings/roaches die by hellion, they don't burn red bright and die...instead they just become black and die...my model is set to high, and on high it is supposed to burn red bright, just like marine becomes green goo when killed by roaches..

Could someone please help? I would love to get it back...
Regarding the imbalance, hilarious to see Zergs defending themselves....

On EU since 1.5.1 it's been showing gpu temperature as well as fps. Might be what they are referring to.

And i wonder if this "variables.txt fix" is just them stopping you from changing graphics settings outside of the main game menu, that would suck, and yet somehow sounds like something blizzard would do...

But its like "turn off graphical violence" or something.
I see some streamers do it.

You still have this problem? Since 1.5.1 I don't have to edit variables.txt to play on different servers. I thought they fixed it with 1.5.1.
There are no boundaries, that's the final conclusion.

Could someone help me please...this is so irritating, the patch always reverts your graphics settings to some random settings..

I think they didn't fix my problems. The game keeps crashing in custom game lobbies and people disconnect from the game during the first two minutes really often. It says "You were defeated" and they accuse me of cheating... (I have actually only played the 1.5.0 balance test Antiga.) The game didn't crash once before 1.5.0.

there are multiple variables.txt files.

the global one in your Documents/Starcraft II/ Folder, and the one in your Account folder.

i have two accounts, too, and the game kept switching from english to german, until i
1. quit the game (important, because it seems to overwrite the file when you quit it.
2. set Language settings in variables.txt to enGB (or whatever suits you), in all files. (global and one per account)
3. start game
4. maybe quit and check the variables files, just to be sure it worked

btw: if you set the language setting to enGB in each file, the game will remove it from every one.
i guess because default is enGB:-)

I assume its how many times your computer is "stalling" each minute. (having a hiccup/stuttering)

Most likely to aid them in gathering information. Or yourself, i guess.

If the unit they are attacking is half a screen away from them by the time their attack animation finishes then yes I think its fair to say its intended that the unit escaped damage.

Well I guess I was right in my hope that they'd fix all the 1.5 frame drops this week and then push out beta next week :D

Can't wait till this is on eu so I can actually ladder again.

The slowness of their attack is intended, and sometimes an initiated animation doesn't necessarily imply that a hit will be landed. A swing and a miss! Sick dodging skill ftw.

so. maybe i should explain to you how this works.
units have an attack range. even melee units.
Ultralisk has a range of 1.
it has to get within 1 range to attack

theres another field. called Range Slop. it's also set to 1.
what does this field do? it's the maximum distance the unit can attack from AFTER it has started it's attack animation.
so a unit is in 1 range. ultra starts attacking. unit runs away. if it reaches greater than 2 range away from the ultralisk before the damage point (the point in the animation where damage is applied) the attack is canceled.

it's just a mechanic. units move too fast for the ultra to hit it. sucks to be them. you can increase this field. but then you're going to see stupid shit like a stimmed marine 3-5 range away from the ultra dying. then applying splash damage to all nearby marines. wat?.

FYI ultralisk damage point is 0.3332 seconds. thats even less on faster.



did you not notice that the glitch effects the dark templar aswell?

or did you simply skip over it to try to tell me why a attack bug that has existed for 2 years, with several videos proving it and showing it... yet blizzard has never gave a statement about it or fixed it?
