I am no expert but I think the problem is shader generation. Shaders are generated anew with every new version of the client. Try to follow these steps: 1. Delete the folder c:\Program Data\Blizzard Entertainment\Starcraft II. (Win 7/Vista users) 2. Start SCII and set everything on max (will ensure the most complex stuff gets rendered) 3. Find some sort of "UnitTestMap" in arcade and run it. 4. Create every unit and building of every race at least once. If you can, use every ability of every unit for every race at least once. This should (I hope) generate shaders files for those units/buildings/abilities and save them to HDD. (You should get minor client freeze every time you generate a unit for the first time, but not after that) 5. You can now revert the settings to low. 6. Play some open public games to see if this fixed the problem. It kinda fixed it for me. I no longer have laggs whenever something new appears in a match. Let me know pls if this works for you guys. Addendum: I firmly believe that the concept of this is utterly wrong. It requires the user to play games until every possible game element was rendered at least once, only then does the client become stable. The prettier the gfx, the more complex, the more problems this is going to cause in the future and for lower end users I cant imagine how this feels. Cant you programmers figure out a way pre-make the shaders files and have them streamed to the user on update? " After I did this, I no longer have huge FPS drops/freezes. Still minor lag here and there, but that is only miliseconds and I can micro once more! Let me know if this works for some of you."

It's the same as sieged tanks and forcefields. They block buildings too, you know.

I would have liked them to fix the bug that transform winning games into 100/200 points lost. That's the only reason why i don't play ladder right now.
|
im quite sure theres more.

still can't play due to fps drop. not a bad thing tho.

It's not a bug, that happens(and happened before 150) during a promotion/demotion, yout points become 73 + spent bonus pool... Right now it's just documented.

You can read about it here: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/6246995093#1
Definitely not a bug, if it's the only thing that's stopping you from laddering then there's no need to worry.

I cant get 1.5 to install in my Ubuntu partition at all. I could run starcraft 2 smoothly under linux before then.

did this ever get deployed?
|
I hope not cuz I still have massive performance issues.

If so, what are they? If not then what do you like?"

I'm glad Blizz has leapt into action to deal with these emergent issues. There are a couple of others (notably the balance ones, but also the anti-color-blindness policy they put in place) that I'd like to see addressed, but this is a good sign.

I am getting sick of this 4 lag issue at the beginning of each game...... and still haven't read anything from blizzard regarding this problem -_-
imo its even worse than the larvae bug...
