I would imagine its about as easy as scouting against a Marine or Stalker.

Why does it matter, they're totally different games... ovies in BW also had detection -_-
So? He just wants to know it jeez

I was disappointed to see the new queen attack was projectile. I was hoping they would just extend the arms a comical amount.

These zerg buffs are kinda absurd (in the best way possible). 25% speed increase is pretty massive, and queens just got a lot more effective. Essentially, nothing changes in strategy, just general race buffs all over.

The observer buff is so powerful. It feels so broken :|

The queen change makes probe scouting really hard: used to be able to sneak a probe into the zerg main and scout the gas and look for a building or two before teh queen killed it, can't do that anymore.

With Queen range to 5 now, will it not look incredibly ugly and unrealistic ingame? I mean not that I care I know a lot of things doesn't makes sense like shooting up a cliff, but so long range must look pretty wicked.

wowwww SICK queen change. how good would that have been versus 5RR xD... they must change the animation too then? since they normally attack with claws or so it looks to me

Any korean protoss would disagree about zergs. Cut posting shit please. It's not entirely random. It's from a quote from a recent series of interviews that the BW teams gave. Show nested quote +Team 8 Coach Han Sang-Yong states: No players in our team changed races. However, we are still keeping it into a consideration because the Zerg players are having a lot of trouble. ***** This has been stated from many players and coaches all over the BW teams that BW zerg players are having a hard time in SCII.
I'm not sure you're reading this quotation correctly. This is about BW zerg players having a hard time. This doesn't say that anyone thinks Zerg is underpowered. Sure, it's vague. There's not enough information here. But in that vagueness, I am reading the claim that Zerg BW players are struggling translating there skill in BW to SC2. That does not equate to a statement on the strength of the Zerg race. If anything, it suggests that Zerg mechanics and strategies in SC2 differ from those of BW more than the mechanics and strats of the other races.
tl;dr You are reading into a vague statement as though the statement is not vague.

Many people feel this way and as a rank 1 master Terran I have certainly lamented each "balance" patch. However, it is too early to tell to what degree zergs will benefit from these changes.
These sort of changes will take a long time to develop and integrate themselves into the current meta-game as Zergs re-discover overlord scouting paths, use queens offensively and defensively in new ways, and may or may not take shortcuts on their defense to achieve a more robust economy.

This. All the Terrans here are acting like Blizzard nerfed bunkers or something.

Just played 2 games and OL speed buff just feels great

Not really. It gives less chances to instantly lose a PvP, and more flexibility around robo builds in TvP.
|
im fine with ov speed, but i think obs and queen range might be too powerful.
this queen range is going to be really good: ZvT defend 2 raxs and hellions, ZvP not as big, but could help vs initial zealot pressure after like a FFE, and ZvZ helps vs baneling aggression
|
The queen change is way too much in my opinion. Just watching some games it makes such a massive difference against so many things.
Marines can no longer hop out of bunkers to harass Queens. Hellions can't touch Queens anymore, not to mention Reapers being unable to do anything.
It's just too much.
