Not the first time MLG/GOM have a hard time understanding what the other is saying, we had the affair of GOM changing MLGs prizes for players without MLG knowing.
I think it's more that the GSL schedule has changed dramatically this year.

MLG should have talked to GSL in advance. This announcement does not imply that they did.

Yeah. This thread seems to imply that GSL issued some sort of statement which MLG is responding to. I'm pretty sure these players would have left MLG early if it was choosing between this and GSL.
Not hating on MLG, but just saying they did what they had to.

I don't get why people are bashing GOM on this. There is no conflict at all when it comes to scheduled games. The only conflict is between the after event party and Code A matches.
This is a really classy move by MLG (but it implies nothing on GSL). I never thought I'd pay for PPV, but now I'm reconsidering.

GSL runs soo many days out of the year, you can't possibly expect them to X every single possible GSL day off their calendars. ....he means Assembly They are on at different times...I don't see what the problem is there.......(more ellipses....)...
Edit: So I'm wrong, there is overlap! However, Assembly started at 4 (or 3..can't remember) am for me, and MLG starts at 2 pm..I am not including the warm up stuff they do. So, not much overlap at all really. Maybe a couple hours if Assembly runs late

Good job MLG. Nice to see then take care of their players. (Those tickets had to be at least $2K total.)

I'm one of the MLG nay-sayers and indeed nay-payers if you will but I commend their actions in this instance and couldn't be more impressed with how they handled this.

after thinking about it i dont believe for one second that the code a players dont know the schedule for their most important tournament. this whole thing smells..

Wow...this sucks for MLG and GSL
Though, GOOD Communication between MLG and the players / teams and THANK YOU MLG for taking the iniative to take the slack and pay for the flights.
However, I cna only wonder how the flight times will effect the players durring their matches for Code A.
Mainly just sucks for the players.

Hope this didn't cost MLG too much. Nice work guys.

I guess we know where that 20$ PPV money is going
|
My respect to MLG for being so generous to the players and doing the right thing.
|
Glad MLG was able to sort this out for the players. Hopefully the jet lag from rushing back wont affect their play.
|
I don't think MLG had any reason to make this type of arrangement, but it was very respectable for them to have made the accommodations. A very "nice-guy" think to do.

Good job MLG - going the extra mile like a boss

That's really cool of MLG to do that. MLG as an organization is certainly growing rapidly, and this is a sign of that.
