Yey, a good balance patch! Ghosts still viable lategame vs Zerg, but does not destroy both BL and Ultras as fast as before. Protoss gets a bit more efficient for dealing with Mutas. Everybody's happy now :D

Honestly, i don't think the snipe change will go throught.
Ghost don't need to have snipe against caster, they have fucking EMP already.

I love all of the changes except the ghost snipe. I feel like Terran late game vs zerg is going to go back to feeling completely helpless to zerg broodlord pushes. Is the +5 damage going to make a difference vs Ht and Infestors? What is Terran supposed to do late game vs zerg now? Are ghost still going to be what you do late game?

All of these look like good changes.

Especially CPM ( how did that take this long? ) thank you for this one blizzard.

Terrans I know you might be mad but you have to admit Ghost v Z were pretty good.

Does any one wonder why they made it a range upgrade at the beacon instead of just a straight buff? Having to get the beacon /whine.

Keep nerfing terran blizzard.Lategame vs zerg was just way too easy..It was about time it became a bit more difficult....sigh...This matchup will become indeed like tvp...Zerg will try to stay alive till late game and then a move + F if it fails repeat with the other tech and so forth.I know that all these stuff are meant for really high lvl players but seriously i have been watching lots of streams and tournaments lately and the times that actually terran got to the point to have mass ghost in time to destroy the zerg army were not many.It was always back and forth and it really was coming down to control.Its not like this matchup is forgiving for terran either when you can lose all your ground force to just 10 banelings.Blizzard needs to realize that terrans dont have viable late game transitions and are the most succeptible race to tech switces and either do something to make terran high tier units more easy to transition to or stop nerfing stuff just for the sake of nerfing them

Pretty good changes but I'm really confused about snipe now. It definitely will not be worth using against Ultralisks anymore but seems to still work against HTs/Sentries/Infestors/Ghosts with the same efficiency. However, EMP counters these units already so Snipe looks like it will overlap this role for these units and will also be worse vs. every other unit now (biological, non-psionic). Might as well just cut this ability out and replace it with something else as I see it going out of use due to this change.

Another way to put this: When would you use Snipe now?
Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid!

Maybe it'll even be more successful as a deterrent... as in, the Zerg won't continue to mass muta in a game if he sees the Protoss has the upgrade. So it could be useful to both kill the mutalisks and to convince the Zerg to stop producing mutas altogether ^^

That would be awesome, or at least be like TvZ in BW where you make a rd of mutas to harass but eventually switch.
I generally don't like people making mutas then just massing and massing until eventually throwing in 3-4 infestors.

Reminds me of in the campaign there's an upgrade in the armory to improve diamondback's range by 2... and the best video blizzard could think to make was +range diamondbacks running away from regular diamondbacks shooting at them without getting in range.

Is anyone else worried about the phoenix range buff? With a range advantage and the ability to shoot while moving, all mutas on the field pretty much become useless. The move speed for phoenix is 4.25 and the move speed for mutalisks is 3.75. If your mutas get spotted out of position of your own anti-air, they pretty much will all die.

The important part is, that it was pretty much good vs everything lategame. Protoss can't mass one single unit, that is good no matter what your opponent has.

I dont play Terran or have a GM knowledge of the game, but i think Terran players will have a hard time.

They will have to babysit their vikings like crazy now. I cant imagine how hard it will be to deal with infestor/Blord comp.

I agree. Ghosts will still be far from useless. EMP is still very important, despite the nerf it got. Snipe will still be vital, despite the nerf it's getting now too.

I just think that now, Terran will need to be a bit more selective on what to snipe in an army, instead of "fuck it, everything!" ^^
