Corruptors are absolutely terrible vs Vikings. If you lose to corruptor/broodlord by itself Zerg was either super far ahead or you started making vikings way too late. Infestors are required.

Phoenix change is pretty interesting. Think well see an increase in Motherships which should be cool (or a nightmare) for people playing at lower levels. Not used anywhere near enough.

i doubt terran is really op among the foreign scene. there are much fewer top level foreign terrains in comparison to their toss and zerg counterparts. i don't see the reason for keep nerfing terran when at the lower level its really toss/zerg favored. and why do all you bronze toss/zerg players whine about terran being OP?

Snipe should be 25 dmg + 25 to LIGHT instead of just psionic. That way, units like Marines, Zealots, Mutalisks, Hydras etc. still weak to it.

SO FUNNY because it can't even one-shot a Zergling or workers... HAHA

You know Corruptors are 150/100 minerals/gas right? They are no where near as good as vikings it is only with fungal mixed in that they can fight them.

Also a better idea than what Blizzard is proposing.

Honestly, the +25 damage to Psionic is meaningless. I know it's meant to be like a compensation in the way that Siege Tank damage works vs armored but there honestly are so few situations where Sniping something Psionic is better than simply EMPing it that the +damage to psionic is just pointless.

Luckily for protoss blink stalkers are pretty effective at countering both ultralisks and BLs, and they can use chrono or warp-ins to quickly get out any counter units they need. Terran however is now stuck with the marine as their best option for a unit that can counter both lategame units, and while we all know marines are really good they are also very vulnerable to many things a lategame zerg can throw at you.

I do think that ghosts alone countering all T3 is a bit much, but turning them useless against anything but casters leaves the terrans with very little options. There should be a more reasonable middle ground solution to be found here.

hehe both are right. upgrades play a huge role which unit is stronger. But the viking is stronger if it has a good position, while the corrupters a click i stronger. So at the end both units deliver great battles against each other x3.

I meant in a unit composition. No competent zerg is going to mass corruptors just to counter vikings, corruptors still beat vikings but mutas are more effective. They make corruptors, morph some to broods, have infestors and spam fungal, corruption. in that case fungal along with corruptor support own vikings, hard.

I can't comment on the snipe change, I guess I'm too low for snipe to have been a massive problem for me. The phoenix change seems... strong once you get it. Very strong, Phoenixes already seem very strong against mutas, but requiring a fleet beacon seems like quite an investment so I think it will work out well.


I really like that they're bringing back APM, I just wish they would turn minutes back into real minutes.

Care to back that up at all?

Don't worry, I'll back up my statements with fact so that you don't have to Each viking does 20 damage per hit, while each corruptor does 14 damage per hit. This means that you need around 1.12 vikings for each corruptors. Considering that vikings cost 150/75 to the corruptor's 150/100, and that build times are around the same as long as you have two reactored starports, that sounds pretty much in favor of the viking there..
