Howdy,
does anyone know, what is the official successor of the Razer Abyssus Essential? I didn't play Starcraft for some time, but this was my favorite up-fingertip-grip mouse. (not crawl-g.)
For your information that one has the same "style" as the Razer Salmosa with the typical DIAGONAL sides allowing to rest the thumb on that diagonal. Salmosa is the predecessor; the processing of the A.E. is worse (shell...), but the 7200p sensor was finally a 100% flawless one to make up for it. (the previous ones didn't work well in comparison)
JUST To prevent confusion - because unfortunately there is a mouse with a similar name - I mean this one: . . .

Again I use it for finger-tip, not crawl-g. (= no viper etc) and certainly not palm-g.:

I have the Razer Viper Mini and I love it, I used the Abyssus back in the day and I think if you do like the abyssus you will really love the Viper or Viper Mini.

Thank you for your comment. I have the Viper Mini and tested it a lot, the weight is uniquely low and useful...
Unfortunately personally for the way that I use the Abyssus E., it allows for a specific finger-tip grip that suits me personally much better. The Viper has to be touched on the very sides while I touch the Abyssus on the special diagonal with the thumb. It feels a little "on top" allowing finger-tip-grip well. (it has a different movement of your hand and arm)
This is my personal experience and preference; [I always believed everyone has a different perfect mouse and was - in my most active times - always strifing to find mine, as I respect everyone's. As an anecdote it reminds me of like how back then shoes were made individually for each person before our times ^_^. There is also a great movie, about a legendary shoemaker.] That's why I am always eager and curious to hear your opinion / favorite tool - everyone is different, so thanks again!

I think you should just try to get the same mouse if you can, as long as it can still do 500hz and whatever DPI you need for desktop. Mouse tech advancements are overrated, and nothing is as important as comfort and ease of use.

How about Razer Cobra and Razer Cobra Pro?
I used Abyssus 1.0, maybe it's in 2014. The best mouse I've used because of have no back-forward button. I am using Viper Mini, it's smaller, lighter and smoother the one.
I bought a Razer Gaming Starter Bundle to replace Viper Mini when it's broken. The combo has Abyssus Lite Mouse, you can check it on Amazon. I think you will like it.
You can change your mouse but you can't change your mmr. Think about that!

I've been using this for a couple months and I love it. It looks similar to the pic you posted. I recommend you check out the subreddit for gaming mice. The industry was recently flipped upside down by chinese companies offering some LEGIT products for cheap. I went with this mouse because it was available on amazon with quick shipping.

@GTR: Thank a lot for the Clone manufacturers recommendation. I will look at some more over time, because the website doesn't compare their side handling (front-view) but only the bird-view and side-view. (in direct words.. I didn't find an actual similar one yet to try, i.e. went through each recommendation and each has the very unwanted side buttons or has the very standard shape (see #3), not the "abyssus shape" (see post #1 and #3 ).)

Yes.
I tried.
But I can't seem to do it, (I have also checked the Razer Bundle now)
there aren't any shops that sell it anymore, it's not even in their lists anymore. Even visited several local shops and asked in another town. And unfortunately, used mice are often not very usable anymore or rather said not for long, as they have a very high wear value, the highest on your PC-equipment (if you are a gamer). The release was 7 years ago.
Yea: I'm Not looking for "better" (modern) mice like that one, but where do I get the one I need, they don't offer it... Reminds me of certain pro-players who simply bought the mouse and keyboard they loved at least 20 times each.
I asked only for the successor because it would be the one they are selling, just like how I had to buy the Abyssus back then - the community had given me this very good recommendation - because Salmosa was sold out. (and ofc then, also, I looked at several shops, resells, etc) Hence the question and details about why I use this mouse and how I touch it, which is the only way I want to use a gaming mouse for some reasons - not sure why I keep hearing cobra or viper I explained that's not for me, perhaps I had phrased it too nicely; I don't like those typical mouse shapes, and no side buttons. No official successor at least? Would be odd if they stopped this very successful 3-buttons-only series.
(Can't trust the industry nowadays it seems, need to buy a huge stock xD)
