I'd get to work on it but I don't have experience w/ some of the triggers/dialogs and my BW copy is 4 feet underground.

iccup BW is only multiplayer. i need the sp maps
I know it exists in other places but I'd rather someone else do the work. I got enough on my plate as it is.

Wow I never saw this until now because I have the Single Player sub-forum hidden. This is so cool. As to where to find a full copy of BW.. you might just need to torrent it? Or dl it from Battle.Net

We've received reports that 8 to 10 mission par campaign was too long - many players didn't have the patience to complete them all. As a result, we have decided to reduce the number of missions per campaign to 5. And we will split them in three so that we can make a more epic storyline.
... what?

Jones already has The Iron Fist well under way - incidentally an other guy is also making his own version of that campaign. So in any case, The Iron Fist will be out before the fall (no pun intended). There are currently no plans for Queen of Blades, we have three maps done (including Dark Origin that has been released), but no work in progress as of today.

Hi, do you have any idea how I can get my custom hotkey setup to work with this? Whenever I play this and use a chat command, it always says 'player 1' as my name. If there is a folder where hotkey setups are stored for that profile, I can't find it.

Lol this campaign has the weirdest bugs but it's still amazingly crafted and I couldn't be more thankful that BW is also getting SC2 maps just like the vanilla campaign.
I love lurkers lol... my time-tested strategy of rushing sixty speedlings down the right side of the map on mission 6 and then sending down the drone no longer works

Nice to see that someone spent the time to port over the maps.

I'm enjoying it so far but I've found a couple bugs:
- On Terran mission 8 The Big Push there are Physics labs attached to the science facility. After Science Facility is destroyed I'm unable to target the Pysics lab and can therefore not destroy it. I found that you can still completing the mission by building your own science facility at the lab and that way take it over. - Unlike SC2 you cannot queue a move command on Siege tanks while unsiegeing.

Sure I'm gonna get a lot of flak for this but working through the later Terran missions now. On mission 8 I believe (destroy stations with Duke's epic BC), when I select easy difficulty I don't expect a constant stream of siege tanks, wraiths and bio to be assaulting my front, I would get attacked like every 20 seconds or so, if I would be constantly managing my own tanks and bio up front or doing a double pronged attack this would not be an issue, but I don't select easy difficulty to have to micro my crap like in multiplayer.
I don't even remember this much opposition in the original version, and the fact that you mine out your main base really quickly means you can do a single strong push and if that fails because say, the AI pulls 4 battlecruisers and a legion of wraiths straight out of it's ass to murder any anti air you might still have left after being constantly assaulted by ground troops, you're unable to rebuild unless you feel like waiting 15 minutes.
And for gods sake leave the "OMG U SUCH A TERRIBLE PLAYER" comments, putting a good amount of effort into playing SC2 online is enjoyable as that is the main point of playing multiplayer, but with this I mainly want to experience the story again, I don't find playing a strategic game against the AI particularly engaging so I just work my way through the mechanics as fast as possible, same reason I only finished the WoL campaign on medium, not that the story gives you any incentive to play that again but alas.

In my opinion the Zerg campaign is way too difficult, even easy mode is very hard. The Terran one is fine, I'm glad that the Big Push had a bit tuned down in difficulty in latest releases, the first release was too hard and frustrating

Will this work with all SC2 region versions? (Interested in China specifically).

The term "Easy" is indeed unappropriate given the challenge the last levels still pose, it will most likely be renamed to "Normal" the next time the maps are updated. Historically, only what is today Hard difficulty was available when the first campaigns were released. I added a second difficulty so that people who did not complete SC2 in Brutal could still stand a chance to defeat the final missions : it was not supposed to make them actually "easy", only to ease the considerable pressure that is the trademarks of the final levels.
With that in mind, if you feel a level specifically is harder than it should, feel free to describe precisely which wave, unit or feature feels frustrating. We do not normally reduce difficulty in Hard, but the lower difficulty is an other story.

Edit: double post ><

mad props to the authors of this remake. Srsly. I'm also extremely impressed by how well you guys made this and how closely it resembles the original, with some twists that are really only a positive thing. Great job.

I need to actually suck it up and dl all these and play them asap...loved the campaign for sc1 (bw a little less) and sc2 and enjoy playing them all still. Need to remember to come back to this thread when I'm at home so I can start doing this

Difficulty is insane, constant attacks and enemy ups.... on lowest.. i feel dumb but in BW I didnt have trouble until the mission where you have to kill the overmind with dark templar (when it is being controlled by terrans) that level is fucking HARD !!! but on this mod it gets hard within the first few levels ;p i like it less for that
Other than that it is very excellent, very few errors/like what you did with the "creative license" and the "remake" idea

Russian version is now available. Just download the new mod and maps and have fun! The English version of The Stand has also been updated to v1.2, which finally solves the mind control bug. The mod has been renamed "sc1BWmod", so you can have both v4.1 of the mod for The Stand and "sc1mod" for the first three campaigns. Just, put both mod files in Starcraft II/Mods, and the game will pick the appropriate one, you don't need to worry about the details.
v4.1 is available from the Episode IV - The Stand page, while vC3.3 (for the three "classic" campaigns) is available from the Episode III - The Fall page

I would like to report that my guardians while clearly able to attack from a distance tend to act as though they have range=1 when ordered to attack. This is painful.
EDIT: They also ignore hold position o_O
All and all it makes late game composition kind of hardcore with units not giving a damn about orders
