I never beat the original unfortunately

But I'll beat this mod then go back and play the originals for real XD
If you can't jam with the best, then you have to slam with the rest.

This is better than the actual campaign. Blizzard should basically just have converted brood war to 3D and not ruin the game.

It would have been much better to just convert it, it would have probably even sold more and be more esports

This is just great for all the kids who never played SC and/or BW. I am, however, old so I will go back and play the original campaign when Heart of the Swarm is about to be released. =P

Kudos for the awesome work you have done though!

Have to say I enjoyed this a lot more than my recent attempt at playing the original's campaigns. For all its style and interesting units, the UI of SC/BW is quite user-hostile and hard to manage for slow players like me.

For a bit of feedback there were a lot of messy tooltips and hotkeys in the original's three campaigns, often referring to Starcraft 2 units (most notably the Arbiter's Recall being the Mothership's in every single respect) and pretty much every energy upgrade being both inconsistent with each other and saying all manner of things that blatantly aren't true (+25 starting energy as in SC2 being the most notable offender). This is all fixed and proper in the fourth campaign though, including having proper hotkeys, so maybe I'm pointing this out to the wrong people if it's the mod file that carries the glitches.
For something more along personal preference, I also thought the choice of portrait for the Arbiter was a lot nicer for the first three campaigns rather than using the Void Ray guy, but I guess there was good reason to pick something else.

Finally, it also made me realize how much I miss Dark Archons. Those things were just so badass and Maelstrom incredibly useful.

Our remake brings all the BW and SC2 people together. It's neither, so everyone loves it!

Hey, feel free to point out anything related to the remake here, the "right" people will take note. Personally, I'm not really involved in the Protoss side of things. The whole situation with the different mods and maps is kind of a mess right now, but we'll sort it out. Eventually.

I loved the The Stand missions. They were the perfect difficulty, which was what I found lacking in the original Starcraft, a bit harder missions. Not extremely, but just enough.

just want to say thanks for making these campaigns.

i've never played sc1. got started playing rebel yell on hard and i'm having a lot of fun. more difficult and much more fun than the sc2 campaigns!

For some reason I can't use my custom hotkey setup for this.

Is there any way I can use it? Is it possible to play this game while logged into SC2 multiplayer, or is there somewhere I can put the hotkey file?

Well, I'm done. Chapter 5, The Iron Fist is out. Plan was to get it out before the weekend but I ended up doing a lot more last minute changes than expected. I think it turned out pretty good, though, check it out if it sounds like your thing, etc.

That's what I get for not playing with HP bars on, I guess. The beacon is in yo base.

I remember someone posting a way to play these while logged onto battle.net, I think it was just by saving the game, quitting the game, moving the save file from the offline saves folder in the Starcraft 2 folder under "My Documents" into the appropriate battle.net account folder within said SC2 folder, logging into battle.net and loading up the save.

Maybe there's a similar way to use the hotkey file you mention when playing offline. I dunno, I don't use custom hotkeys. I also don't know how they would work with the mod, I guess they'd work for all the SC2 units with default hotkeys, such as marines.

i really liked the first two campaigns, but now that i'm starting the protoss campaign the maps are playing on 'normal' speed, which is absolutely unbearable. How do i fix this :/ ?

Pretty good so far.

Having some problems with the Dylarian Shipyards mission though. Locking down a science vessel doesn't seem to disable its detection. Also, IIRC, the original SC would reveal the area you could nuke so that you didn't walk into a siege tank line with your ghosts (auto-reveal region trigger).

You can go to Options -> Gameplay and put the cursor to the max, but you have to do it every time you start a level. Else, you can open a Terran or Zerg map, copy the line that says "set game speed to Faster", and put it in the trigger "Start".
