There will obviously be Brood War units and spells, and improved models for a number of units, including carriers, creep colonies and queens. I think the defiler will change as well, but I don't remember to what. I work on triggers and bug reports more than on the mod.

"Secret" is not the correct word, as you can't unlock them. They are more scrapped mission that I believe were found on the original Starcraft CD. You can download them here.

Mission 7 on the protoss campaign is bugged. Fenix doesnt spawn and losing either a zealot or dragoon results in a failed mission saying fenix has died. Also it would be helpful if the unit portrait of fenix was different from the other portraits of zealots.
Edit- Actually it appears that 7-10 are bugged. The loss of either a zealot, dragoon or DT results in mission failure. Looks like your triggers got messed up. The maps are in the proper folder.

I found a bug in Protoss 9: whenever the Cerebrates take damage the game freezes for about half a second, regardless of what unit was dealing damage (I tried with Zealots, Dragoons, Carriers/Interceptors and Zeratul). The mission can be completed regardless, it just takes a long time due to the freezes.

It was happening to me and then I downloaded the new mod, fixed it immediately and a few other problems too.

A very similar way to do it via the maps, add a "disallow ability" action to the map initialization trigger. The trigger script is mostly in plain english and it's pretty self-explanatory if you just go in there and look around a little.

I'm not too familiar with the exploits in the original game, but don't expect all of them to work similarly in the remake. Who knows, maybe you'll find some new exploits instead. :p

And here it is! The first Brood War campaign, The Stand !
Things have been a bit messy during the last few days, I didn't have time to test everything as I'd have liked to. The mod file didn't upload on sc2mapster for some reason, I'll fix it tonight. Meanwhile, download the mod v4.0 from here (link is also in the page description). Report any bug you may find on the campaign page.

Just played map 7 from the Protoss Campaign (The Fall) and lost losing a pylon on the expo. The message said Fenix died...
Which of the Zealots and Dts are Fenix and Zeratul anyway? The only visible hero is Tassadar.
On map 7 i lost getting hit on the starting cloaking thing by a hydra. Kinda annyoing ^^
