Also, tfw "Ride of the Valkyries" plays on Episode 5 mission 6 right when Terran Valkyries are being introduced. I lost it there LOL.


Wagner himself would be proud of that encore.

So I have the latest mod installed. I saw from video playthroughs that Tassadar & Aldaris had custom portraits, but all I see are placeholders of Nyon and Karass, respectively. Also, during "The Trial of Tassadar", the Hyperion and the starting Carrier get stuck to the ground.

Edit: Okay, I installed the Retromod into my game files, now the game provides newer portraits for a lot of characters and units. However, when I have the audio options set to "SCII", the unit audio doesn't work. Can we also have an option to toggle which units and characters are given custom models/portraits?

I'm still getting the error where Duran won't interact with any beacons or waypoints. Any idea on how to solve? I'm on the latest version, only ever installed 6.2.1.

If anyone else was trying to find the song in the cutscene at the end of Emperor's Fall (As it's referred to as "uncredited track" in the credits), it's called The Horror, The Horror and was a part of a compilation of bonus songs from the C:LR soundtrack released for free by Rare: http://theisozone.com/downloads/misc/ost/conker-live-reloaded-bonus-tracks/

Spider mines cannot attack Invisible unit like Brood war.
Isn't it supposed to be motion sensor device?

Well then. It looks like Blizzard has decided to do its own version of Starcraft in Starcraft II. So…thanks, guys? I suppose this version is free, so there's that…

Anyway, seriously, thanks for all the work on this, even though I'm probably never going to play it again after StarCraft Remastered comes out.

Spidermines will attack cloaked ground units. Thy are great as a defense against DTs.

Hotkey seems messed up. So many problems.

can't use unloads. it doesn't save
bounding scouts & corsair automatically unbounds unload
keys that don't overlap cancel each other in the seting,

and many more... am I the only one with these problems? I've reinstalled SC2, MR, and deleted document folder but the prlbem didn't go away.

I enjoy playing this as much as anyone else who can't go back to playing BW because of playing sc2 for such a long time.

I have a bug for hotkeys for Zerg Extractors for Zerg Story mode and Unloading are keys that are bound together, same applies to Protoss Story Mode Shuttle unload all and Starport Scout and Corsair which are bound together too.
There is also a "uproot" problem with Terran siege tank but no hotkeys for the tank are jeopardized

No matter what key I use to for either they unbound the respective other that I mentioned. Any new fixes on this?

Hey there! Here's some project news for you all. As some of you know, the latest major Mass Recall update, 7.0, has been in the works for quite a while now. I'm going to make a bold statement and say that as of right now, ETA for the update is Real Soon. However, we're now looking for people to help out with testing a new, somewhat experimental and brutal difficulty setting. Announcement below:

The Starcraft: Mass Recall 7.0 release is getting close, and we're looking for a few brave souls to try out the new brutal difficulty setting for a short period of time. We want to get this started ASAP so you can expect to have access to the files sometime this week. Be advised: this difficulty is meant to be unforgiving and won't be for everyone. You should expect to have a hard time. We would hope you have previous experience in Starcraft 2 at the very least, preferably also in Mass Recall or Brood War. Having completed or even played some of MR on hard difficulty is certainly a plus.

We're looking to have you test one of the first three campaigns. We won't expect you to grind through every map from start to finish, so don't fret. Naturally, we would appreciate some level of feedback afterwards to answer these questions:

* Are there maps that don't give you a chance? (you get crushed early on, you've tried a couple of times and don't see any significant mistakes in your play)
* Are there maps where you run out of steam? (you can make it to 15-20 minutes but can't seem to make any progress with the resources available to you in the early/mid-game)
* Are there wild difficulty swings within maps? (for example, no room for error in the first 10-15 minutes, afterwards the AI doesn't pose any threat)
* Are there difficulty swings within the campaign? (some maps being noticeably easier/harder than others)
* Are there any other issues affecting gameplay?

Again, we're evaluating the brutal difficulty here specifically. If you're interested, send me a PM (preferably on SC2Mapster but if you don't have an account there, a PM here on TL is also fine) and state your preferred race/campaign, if any. I'll get back to you with more details sometime this week. That is to say I might not respond right away but if we're already full, I'll try to notify you ASAP.

Hey guys! Absolutely loving v 7 so far! Played through 5 and 6 when they came out as well. If I was a skilled enough player I would offer to help with Brutal testing, but sadly I am not.

A couple little suggestions for added features if you like them: (Note, I have done some modding myself so I know you have your own plans and dreams for the mod and am in no way implying that my opinion is more important or fundamental or necessary for this awesome labour of love you have created)

1: Adding the fan-made Starcraft: First Contact as an ending cinematic to Loomings. Its a great fan made cinematic, but I would also understand not wanting to use it, as it might disrupt the feel of moving into Episode I: Rebel Yell and is not part of the original Blizzard product.

2: Adding the tutorial mission 'Officer Training' as an optional mission to Rebel Yell. I did finally find a Brood War remake of this N64 mission and while it is unvoiced and certainly not necessary to the story, it is an interesting addition to the complicated dynamic of Mengsk and the Commander's relationship, having had them be enemies before the Magistrate chooses to join Mensgk after Desperate Alliance. I am working on making this into an SC2 mission myself but I do not have the same skills as are available to the team. Still, if I manage to finish it and am not embarrassed by the result I will send it to you.

3: I am really liking the 'Expanded Hero Appearances' option! Some additional ideas if you are interested would be the Commander in any one of the Rebel Yell missions (The commander appeared in a sort of 'dream mission' released by Blizzard entitled 'Operation Claws' where he piloted a Goliath. Another option would be Matt Horner in the Hyperion in any mission in BW where Raynor's Raiders are involved or Mengsk in the Hyperion during Rebel Yell for one mission just to help establish that the ship belonged to him previously. Lastly, General Horace Warfield could appear in the non-canonical branch of Enslavers where you choose to obey the Emperor's orders as you would still be aligned with the Dominion for those missions.

4: Although it technically belongs years after Brood War, it might be interesting to use the opening cinematic to the canceled Starcraft Ghost as an opening cinematic for Enslavers 1. Both involve Terrans from the Dominion fighting Zerg, so it could be fitting and would be a way to bring back this, actually pretty cool, cinematic in a playable Starcraft campaign.

5: Use the Ulrezaj portion of the fan-made cinematic 'Starcaft: Final Metamorphosis' as a cinematic during Enslavers: Dark Vengeance after either mission 3 or 4 as a teaser of Ulrezaj appearing as a Dark Archon in mission 5.

6: Adding Deception to the 'Stukov Series' in extras. For all I know you may be planning to do this in 7.0 already, but while I have read through the forums and understand your reasons for not wanting to mess with Mercenaries and Mercenaries II, this mission is a single player mission and events in it play into Resurrection IV. Plus it always struck me as weird that in extras the section is called a series, but only has one mission in it.

Well that's my 2-cents, I haven't found any bugs as yet in version 7, everything is working great for me and I am utterly and totally floored by the amount of effort you guys have put into this project, fantastic, just, just fantastic.

edit: Found a really tiny bug, in Terran mission 5: Revolution, the new unit profile for Wraiths shows up fine, but instead of a Dropship profile, a short profile for a Medivac popped up.

edit 2: Just noticed that firebats are teleporting out like protoss when they die. I have the factions models turned on and I was playing Norad II when I noticed.

Started Episode II: Overmind. found two little bugs, the first is that sunken colonies have a double health bar, pictured below, the second is that the new portraits for the cerebrates in the briefing for mission 2: Egression have some wonky textures that seem to stretch too far and become a little triangular when the cerebrate is 'breathing'.

Edit: Also, the subtitles for the cinematic, 'The Dream' between 2:2 Egression and 2:3 Agent of the Swarm still labels Kerrigan's line as Kerrigan, which I thought I saw in older posts was going to be changed. I don't mind either way, but thought I would point this out since it was listed as a bug previously.

Edit 2: Playing 2:7 (The Culling), with extra hero appearances on and the mission objectives include keeping Kerrigan alive, but Kerrigan is not present.

Couple little things I was looking at:

1: I love that in mission 3 of the Terran Campaign, 'Desperate Alliance' You included the unused trigger and dialogue from the original about taking out the Zerg hives. But it seems you did not include the second line of the original Adjutant dialogue for this, "We have broken through to the dropships". Just wondering if leaving this out was intentional or if it was missed.

2: According to the Prima official strategy guide and the novelization 'Liberty's Crusade' the 4th mission of Rebel Yell, 'The Jacobs Installation', was originally supposed to end with a countdown to escape before the facility exploded. Just thought I would mention it if you are looking for any new ways to spruce up 'Rebel Yell'.

3: With extra hero appearances turned on you get Sarah Kerrigan in the 8th mission of Rebel Yell, 'The Big Push', which thematically makes sense for the way the mission is meant to be played, yet editor data show that originally Jim Raynor was supposed to be here in his vulture with a line of voiced dialogue about landing the buildings.

4: An idea for an extra hero appearance in Episode 5: 'The Iron Fist', would be maybe to add Lt. Morales as a hero medic in the mission 'To Chain the Beast' as it is part of her backstory that she was there and she has made the transition from Heroes of the Storm, where she debuted, to Starcraft 2 with the Co-op missions.

5: Not 100% sure if there is anything here with this last idea, but there is a lot of excess dialogue and lines for a number of Starcraft heroes in 'Heroes of the Storm'. Was wondering if any of it could used to spruce up longer missions with reactions from our heroes.
