You might see the odd bug but they are not broken - you can definitely play them

I am replaying the other campaigns right now, and it is rather irratating :p Only the longest ones will be skippable in the first version. Skipping cutscenes is a lot more complicated than it sounds, and it wasn't a high priority since you couldn't skip them in Brood War either.
I think at one point I might've said something dumb about not wanting to half-ass it by only making some cutscenes skippable. Well, I did exactly that. Room for an update!

I agree that youtube links are not the best idea since they are not guaranteed to stay around, but simply having a non-intrusive message saying something like "Optional Cinematic: The Downing Of The Norad II" or something in between missions, even if its just small text at the bottom of the Victory/score screen, would be super-useful.
* Would it be possible to add the level name+number to the briefing screen? When you just hit Continue Campaign each time its hard to know what level you are on and what its called We don't have any plan about that, but if you feel it's worth it then we may add a little something. We will think about it when we're done with Queen of Blades.
At the moment, the easiest way to see what map you're on would be to go to the save menu, and the map will suggest its number and name as the save file name.
Also getting the launcher and a new mod version out earlier was kind of the original idea, but it's looking less and less likely.

And just to be clear, this will be all the missions from SC1 and BW, correct? For now you will have to download each campaign individually plus two mods (eight files total), but an installation guide is available on the Rebel Yell page. A package with installer may happen if I can get one of my friends to program a few lines, but no promises. Yes, this will be all 58 maps from the original Starcraft and BW campaigns. Ahh OK fair enough, that makes sense. I do think it would be nice to at least all the campaigns, the two mods, and the installation guide all bundled up in a .rar or something though, for simplicity's sake Thanks again!
We might think about something like that when everything's more or less complete - right now it's all a non-standardized mess. We wouldn't be getting rid of separate downloads though, it's much easier to upload and download individual updates this way.

Yeah, visual glitches, mostly - some visual effects might be missing. There shouldn't be any gamebreaking issues.

I love you so much! Maybe we can see the Terrasque model of HotS in the last mission of the UED campaign?
7 days!

Can't wait to play the final campaign!
Will the six ever be together like in the picture?
|
I am having problems, it says: Game Client version mismatch with selected region. the currently selected region may not yet be updated
|
I can't wait for the last entry! Will be something to complete before HOTS! Been playing this here and there, though only sporadically. I might play each one, writing a review here.
I have a question about mods. Are there different ones for each campaign? There are so many files!
Making skippable cinematics is pretty easy. You just create two triggers, one for the cinematic, and one for what happens after. Use the "Allow player to skip cinematic" action in the first one. The second trigger should basically be one returning selection, camera view, etc. Just remember to use stand-in units in the cinematic, which you just remove in the second trigger.
That's how I did it for my campaign.

The second trigger should basically be one returning selection, camera view, etc. Just remember to use stand-in units in the cinematic, which you just remove in the second trigger. That, and you stop the intro music(s), and you remove the intro units that may be split between multiple groups, you move all units that were supposed to outlive the intro in their proper place (you must or must not create them depending on the time esc was pressed), you must Show whatever units or doodads were Hidden during the intro... As the cutscene becomes more complicated, you need to think about your triggers and test them.

Signed up to say thank you. Can't wait to play the final chapter.

Just finished campaigns 4 and 5 and wanted to say how great they were. The level of polish was just incredible. No bugs, no glitches, everything was perfect!
Thank you so much!

What's this, people saying nice things on the internet? Guys, it's not THAT good. This must be why the mods didn't change the thread title, they know it's all happy fun times in this thread so it's not part of their sweep.
Seriously though I don't even know what to say - uh, you're welcome guys. The support is much appreciated.

Well that's a new one. A Google search turns up this:
When switching between the Wings of Liberty retail and the Heart of the Swarm beta game clients, you may receive an error message stating “Game client version mismatch with selected region.” This specific error message is a side effect of changes recently made within the Heart of the Swarm beta game client and should not impact your ability to log into either game. If you receive this message, please press “OK” and try logging into the game normally.

Two mods, an older one for 2 and 3 - which we intend to drop out at some point - and the newer "BW" one for the rest.
