I mean sure right now he's in great shape and this will allow him to participate in more foreign tournaments yay, but about in the next few months? How is he going to practice to stay in shape, who is gonna be there to coach him and make him stick to a rigorous training schedule when he's living all by himself? Pro-houses is what makes korean pro-gamers the best, so without one well... Guess we'll see It depends. Players like MvP and Nestea have years of Brood War experience with training and self-motivation, so they are able to push themselves without a team house environment. There is no palpable reason why MC should not be able to do the same. well that`s only half the truth. Sure, MVP and nestea dont live in the IM house, but from what I heard they come by sometimes and always talk and train with their teammates. That`s a huge benefit when preparing for GSL or iron out new builds.

Really great news for both parties!

I wonder if this means that some BW players will be switching and joining SK, because otherwise I can't really see any reason why MC would switch.

SOME FACTS EVERY MC FANS NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT SK-GAMING!!!!!!! READ THIS!
esport legends Heaton and Potti told fragbite that they retired because they lost their passion due to SK Gaming not paying salaries. (interview is from 2011, but the events took place in 2003-2004 I believe)
CS 1.6 Legend SK Tentpoles girlfriend revealed in 2009 after his retirement that a huge factor behind him retiring was that he didnt recieve his salaries and prize money from events.
In 2010 Swedish cs player Gux joined SK-Gaming and played in the team for 3 months. In this period of time he won 2-3 tournaments but never signed a contract. Obviously Gux understood that he wouldnt recieve his salary because he never signed the contract, but the SK organization also refused to give him the prizemoney which he had legitimatley won at the tournament.
They were involved in a Scandal last spring 2011, where they signed a Fnatic contracted player Delpan and didnt pay the contract exchange fee (pretty much the same thing as the Complexity/Millenium dilemma, the diffrence is the problem still remains unsolved).
This just a few of all scandals SK-Gaming have been involved in.

Really unexpected :o. Of course lacking a practice house might not be beneficial though. But on the other side, everyone in Korea practices with eachother, MC has practice partners anyway. Who knows, maybe if he prefers this environment, he will actually improve faster.

And also I think the whole plan of the oGsSK deal was to snake out MC and now that they were succesful they ended the partnership. Obviously they cant start to treat him like shit if he wasn't even on a contract with them. The SK/oGs deal was between the SK orga and oGs, but now MC individually is on a contract with SK, which means that his stuck there for a long time. I personally dont think this was a good move for MC, although I like Reis, SK has had a really shady management since bds left. A lot of the old managers from SK have been criticizing TheSlash's way to manage the team.

Wow! I'm sure MC knows what's best for MC. Good luck to you my man .

That was only the CS-players. I have a friend who was manager for a lot of the players you mentioned and the reason they didn't get any payment from SK was some controversy with them jumping teams, losing on purpose and whatnot. Again, this only concerned the CS-players.

Since all still blur... let's play guessing game
how much they pay MC per month/year?

The team house might not be a loss for MC in this case, I personally think he might have wanted to live alone in the first place. MC has participated in a lot of foreign tournaments in the last year (very succesfully).
