We as Toss are gonna get soooo raped in the new release.

I just can imagine a shredder in the mineral line XD. "O god" is the right words here.
The warhound a nightmare to deal with for toss. Another uber marauder thats also anti air!

Banes borrowing pass the defenses in mass to suicide into the mineral line omfg...this is gonna be soooo not fun =(. This is probaly the most deadliest of all. This means that 4 cannons is not enough to protect a mineral line cos 8/10 banes will just pass under it and the cannons wont have enough time to kill them before they suicide on the probes..They can even suicide 20+ banes cos it will still be worth it cos you kill an entire mineral line....This means NO 3rd base unless very heavelly protected.

Well its pretty much the Lurker in a different fashion. The lurker basically is siegelike spacecontrol unit and imho the swarmhost is supposed to be fitting that role. Not sure if it does in its current state, but i think you can see the direction in which the unit is heading imho. Its definitely not wrong to compare it to the lurker.



actually no. the swarm host doesnt control space at all, it sieges. the lurker was not a siege unit and that is something ppl need to understand about the lurker....

it was a pure space controlling unit that made u afraid to leave ur base because of the infamaous "stop lurker" tactic. a group of marines would walk directly over lurkers and get instantly annilated, thus space is controlled.

swarm host however does not do that. what swarm host does from what i seen in the trailers is FORCES u to engage them. the units they spawn is honestly no threat when u can just atk move and kill them instantly or force field them off. infact one scan would probally allow siege tanks to kill off all of them without there locust things doing any real damage at all.

so no, the lurker and swarm host or nothing alike. the only similarity is that they can atk while burrowed, and then again the swarm host doesnt even atk itself. it summons units to atk for it....

at best the swarm host will just be a annoying unit that u will have to deal with. other then that it is no lurker and ppl shouldnt compare the 2.

I'm thinking that a lot of these costs, build times, and other tweakable points are going to be modified significantly before HotS comes out (and continuously while HotS is out anyway) to help balance.

This is just stuff to tease us a bit, and to give us an idea of what they've been doing instead of giving us LAN.

For Zerg yeah, but Terran... Their quick and flexible tech tree might backfire on them

It doesn't take that long to tech to something like a Ghost Academy to make your own Nukes >:D

Why the hell did they turn the Thor into a Terran Mothership?! We don't want hero units, this is Starcraft, God dammit! Just remove the Thor entirely.

Burrowed moving Banelings? HELL NO.

Swarm Host is a great idea, but spawning some slow ass unit every 24 seconds is really dumb. I'd give it the same attack as the Brood Lords but have the impact of the Broodling deal less damage and let's say they spawn slower or something, but whatever it's spawning now is really dumb. Wait, can the Swarm Host target units on different terrain levels? If it spawns units, then... WTF this is some piece of shit. Blizzard needs to give it some sort of real attack instead of spawning guys, or make them launch guys, or something.

The Replicant is a ridiculous unit in my honest opinion. It sounds cool, but right now it's too expensive. If it can only copy non massive units, tone the price down a bit, maybe just the gas. It could be useful in copying spell casters or Siege Tanks but that's it. Can't you give Protoss a real unit instead of some clone thing?

The Oracle is cool, testing will tell whether or not it's overpowered.

Ultralisk charge fixes all of the problems that Ultralisks have been faced against. They should almost definitely see competitive play now.

Hydralisk movement speed is great, even if it is at tier 3.

Battle Hellion? Cool. Warhound? Meh. Shredder? Uh, I don't think this unit is going to work. I really dislike how Terran can just build things that defend their bases so easily. Was the Planetary Fortress not enough? You had to add the Shredder?

Tempest? Cool, don't make it too overpowered against Mutalisks.

No more Overseer? Spore Crawlers just went from recommended to required. This isn't a big deal at all though.

The Viper is cool. I like it's abilities, they seem to work great. Ocular Parasite better not require research or a lot of energy. Abduct is probably it's best ability, being able to pretty much kill any unit sounds great. I can see in the near future that this ability will be limited to non massive units. The Disruption Web is an awesome, solid spell, good job with that.

If 20+ banes was worth sending against one mineral line with cannons defending it it would be done now because what's the difference between burrow move and regular movement if there's a detector around? It's not worth that many resources even if you kill every worker on the line. (This isn't going to affect a 3rd base at all, you can't get hive that fast and not die)

I really do think Protoss is getting screwed here. The new units don't even come close to addressing the problems with the race.

To add insult to injury, the new Terran mech units specialize against Protoss (battle hellion ruins zealots, warhound ruins stalkers).
