It is not that simple. Hotkeying is like tecnhique in a sport like tennis. It has taken close to 100 years to develop to the stage where it is today.
Maybe hot keys aren't as complicated as that, but it is still worthwhile getting other peoples insight. Leveraging other peoples experience is only a good thing.
It doesn't seem very complicated to me, but that's maby just me. I do, however, agree with the value of sharing experience, you got the point. Maby i just don't like the way people write about it, using personal preferences as an objective truth: "Hey mate bind this shit to "X" it's the best way to do it because i have it that way."
I played a TvZ on the ladder. Open 1-1-1 to expand, send 2 hellions and banshees to harass. End up winning the game 20 minutes later.
The guy says: "I hold your cheese and you still win !" I say: "I didn't cheese" He reply: "Go on team liquid forums, people say that your build is cheese so it is."
What kind of reputation team liquid is having ? Sending some harass while expanding is cheese ? My god these people are annoying.
Hi guys, I have an exceedingly stupid quiestion, yet I just can't stop thinkign about it everytime it's mentioned.
There are some people that play different races for different matchups. For example recently I herad someone in playeing ZvT, ZvP and TvZ.
How does this get decided, when two such players meet? Say two Zs, both don't want to play ZvZ and play instead. Are they gonna play a TvT? Is it usual for tournaments to allow this style of changing the race?
I think there has been a surge of new innovative players in June and July and am looking forward to the rest of the GSTL, the GSL, and the NASL finals. It looks like this is going to be a lot of fun. Go HuK-domination!

Now it received a shitload of nerfs, but some guys just aren't gonna give up. I'm a terran player, and I'm really pissed of the fact Terran players are considered kinda inferior to others, and all because of the hate it received earlier. + Show Spoiler + Just keep in mind terran players have always received less respect from other. Examples: HuK, MC, FruitDealer, Spanishiwa, even IdrA have more fans from good terrans like Happy and Select. This feels so wrong. The game is balanced, but not the respect between its players. Thanks for reading that, I'm not trolling, just exposing the things they are. Everybody should respect other regardless of their race. Which in this case, is not the thruth.
aksfjh, VTJRaen, MK4512, thanks for replying and I agree with your points.

Why was PsY trolling the terran player so hard?!? He just went hellions into 2x port banshees and then suddenly PsY yelled "I want to fucking stab him in the face" just because he went this build?!? What was this for? Like terran has no right to go this strategy? In the mean time he starts and analyze vileHawk's build, pointed out some great thing about zerg's play, but said barely anything important for thebestplayerEU.
This is so insulting to me. The words (and even intonation) Terran players are getting commented in their plays, shows that a lot of people consider them inferior. And to finish, I want to say that in Youtube videos when, for example, a zerg player wins, comments below are like "Oh, he is so good" or "I love zerg", but when terran wins everybody starts to smack talk and boo the OPness of the terran, not even counting the skill and effort he made to win. Exaggerated or not, this is true.

I think most tournaments require you to lock in a certain race for the duration of the tournament, not 100% sure though

I thought so as well, but the frequecny with which I hear that people play it like this, increases. And i also know that it was done already in BW times, so it can't be totally forbidden.
And I remembered the particular case that made me post: it was on SoTG about Morrow vs. July in NASL finals, when Morrow was said to play TvZ (and they evensaid, that it's aterible idea, as July's ZvZ is his weakest ).

It's because other races don't have so much powerfull tools for early game harass/aggression as terran and people who are not playing terran assume it must be cheese.
What is a good way to spend advertisement breaks when watching streams, we want to see the advertisement to promote it, but I find them boring because I am not going to be pursauded one way or the other when it comes to healthy eating.
Can anyone with experience tell me if a 14 inch screen is too small to play SC2? I've gotten a good price on a laptop that will be able to run games easily but I'm not sure how it will work with that screen size.

I should ask this in other topic. I play on a 17' laptop and it is absolutely HORRIBLE. Going to get my new PC in a month or two. If you play on a 14' you probalby aren't gonna be able to do basic multitask. Even if you are for example a mid masters skilled player, getting to masters will be imposible with that hardware. Believe me. But if you are just looking for fun, go ahead. It is playable.

I'm sure you CAN play it, but it'll be very very irritating to do so. I have a 17' monitor (yeah, I know, but I'm poor so) and I can play fine, but I get furious when I use anything smaller than the 17'. If you can put up with it, go for it
I dunno if this fits here or not but.. Am i the only one who really want to see my losses? I'm in diamond and I want to see my losses sooo bad D: they should implement an option to if u wanna see losses or not.

Keep in mind also that my laptop is from 2005, runs SC 2 on low settings and also I'm using a small laptop mouse for 7 bucks with no mousepad, so this also adds up to the overall experience.

Start using sc2gears next season, I would like to see my losses, and I can. Also allows you to see extensive stats such as win/loss per MU and map etc..
