Hey everyone.
Does anyone know why there isn't a 4vs4 option in the Co-op vs AI mode? I mean, if they thought it might be too hard for people with a bad computer to get all the 4vs4 achievements, they could've not made any for that bracket. I'm not after the achievements in co-op anymore (since i have them all), but I like playing a round or two now and then, and I suppose 4v4 would be pretty entertaining as well.
Any ideas, or maybe even an explanation by Blizzard? Unfortunately I wasn't able to find an answer.

Hi TL!
I'm new to Starcraft 2, and I've been playing all my practice matches to learn what units shoot where at what range, and I'm pretty well ready to enter the ladder. Now I understand the ladder season is (or will be shortly) locked. What does this mean for me? Can I play my placement matches and get placed after the 3rd season begins? Or will my placement matches not count and be a sort of "practice without destructible rocks and normal speed"?
Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your help! You are able to play placement matches, and will be awarded a full bonus pool. They will be counted

This is a Zerg asking a genuine observer-based question...
Is siegeless tank the way to go in TvT these days? I've been seeing that on streams a lot these days.

Maybe in a non-standart timing all-in with less than 5 tanks before the 10th minute into the game. But otherwise I can't see how, for example, 5 or more tanks without siege, run into the same number sieged, and break the line. Also they are owned my marine/marauder in this mode, even by thors.

Just mass EMP on everything. after that when my army lost his 1 mining base still outproduced my 12+gateways but nvm, it's terran i'm used to this kind of bullshit. So my question is, what do i do about mass ghost? I didn't remake the observers because he sniped them with raven (i opened with DT FE), so that was my mistake, but even if they weren't cloaked, what do i do about this amount of emp? Mass ghost isn't exactly the most common strategy but I would recommend going colossus instead of HT if you're ever in that situation.
Yea i should scout better and switch to colossus, it's just depressing because i need to invest in another tech and start massing them while T already have infrastructure to make enaugh vikings to snipe'em all. With colossus switch you also need to get blinkstalkers (or phenixes) and blink stalkers are rubbish against bio... so sad. It feel's so unfair because PvT is the game of countering eachother unit compositions more than any other MU and Terran is starting one step ahead with barracks units owning gateway army of equal supply/cost. I can still improve and exploit stupid terrans mistakes but it's just sad ![](/mirror/smilies/sadley.gif)
(Not to mention that ghosts are still good against colossus...)

I was wondering if anyone else has moved the attack hotkey. I moved it to f because I find it much easier to do 1f2f3f rather than 1a2a3a. It caused some other keys to move (like force field, but that doesn't cause me any problems).
Any thoughts on this? it seems to me that 'a' is a very unergonomic place to have a very commonly used command.

Why do you ask other people to tell you if something is confortable for you? In my opinion everyone should design custom hotkey setup for himself to make it efficient and comfortable.
For example i play with right hand on my keyboard and i have pretty much all hotkeys remapped. I'm using less keys with less distance between them to do more stuff, this way i can do everything slightly faster. I got every ability/building etc. for every race bound to pretty much 8 keys, groups on 1-6, T, G, V, C so i'm able to add forges, robo, nexus, stargate and 6 groups of units while being able to reach any group without moving my hand from the left side of keyboard.
People should really stop discussing which keys are good for whatever shortcut because it's up to you if you are comfortable with it. Just design for yourself a setup that will help you play better.

I'm more curious why you're 1a2a3a'ing in sc2 Harmonious..

Hey TL, I'm switching from Zerg to Random and I'm noticing that 3 matchups are giving me trouble: TvP, PvT, and TvT. Are there any good Day9 dailies about any of those matchups that could be useful? Playing as Terran seems to give me a lot of trouble, but at least I have an understanding of TvZ from the perspective of a Zerg. Part of the problem is that most of the TvPs I've watched are old, REALLY old. Any suggested vods of TvP would be appreciated.

The same haters kept their mouth shut when WhiteRa was owning Tarson in the previous two games, and nobody was saying how difficult is for a terran to deal with a 200/200 protoss bioball. Just keep in mind terran players have always received less respect from other. Examples: HuK, MC, FruitDealer, Spanishiwa, even IdrA have more fans from good terrans like Happy and Select. This really has a lot to do with it, but not all. I think some of the hate comes from how obvious Terran is with its all ins. When a Terran all-ins, you know it because of the SCVs, but when a Protoss or Zerg does, it's a little more ambiguous. In most cases, you don't see the lack of drones/probes being made, or 4-5 production structures from Protoss. All you face is a really strong push when you're vulnerable, without realizing that the other player is so into the attack that if it fails, you win. This makes Terran look like an all-in race, even today.

Making questions clear and precise for starters.
Also posting in correct thread would be cool.
Watch Day[9] Newbie tuesday on mechanics part 1 and 2 and play more games.

It is not that simple. Hotkeying is like tecnhique in a sport like tennis. It has taken close to 100 years to develop to the stage where it is today.
Maybe hot keys aren't as complicated as that, but it is still worthwhile getting other peoples insight. Leveraging other peoples experience is only a good thing.

I find that, since I play Terran, I enjoy watching Zerg and 'Toss more when I'm not playing. Still a massive MMA/NaDa/MKP fan in tournament play, but just for streaming and stuff I prefer something different from what I see when I play.

Meh, the thing is people like HuK, Idra, Spanishwa, WhiteRa are all huge community figures (And fruitdealer has that amazing GSL1 Story). People like Select or Happy are not so much. I think that alot of people have alot of respect for terrans, but Terran talent outside of Korea is alot more sparse than inside, where you are tripping over great terrans.
EDIT: People like MKP, MMA, BoxeR, NaDa have huge followings, as well as potentially Polt and MVP
