Another bit of food for thought:
What's the general opinion on Starport play vs Mech play in TvT? It seems like Bio vs Mech is so map specific that these players that don't like Mech play need a new strategy to play with. On paper it doesn't look too bad, I haven't tried it as I'm not a Terran player, but it seems like it might be something to look at.
The only downside I can think of is that Starport units are so expensive, but Mech play isn't very cheap either, and Battlecruiser/Banshee/Viking/Raven has a CLEAR advantage over Tank/Hellion/Thor on paper.
I could be completely wrong though.

Terran and Zerg have 450 HP gas buildings. Protoss have 900 HP Assimilators (450 shields, 450 HP.) I think this is intentional, but don't know, why. Why is Protoss in need of extra sturdy gas buildings?

Anyone know how to get the windows sounds to play on SC2 such as when you make a command or build a building etc (the bew bew bew sound or something of the sort lol)? I have Windows 7 64 bit and my game just does not make those sounds (idk if that has any correlation or not). Any advice would be appreciated.

Have you checked that the game is not muted in the sound volume thing (the speaker in the bottom right hand side). If not that then maybe reinstall.

Game sound is fine, its just the windows bew bew sound whenever you make a command. Reinstall was unsuccessful.

Why god. Season 1 I played random and I stopped because I hated mirror matches. Season 2 I picked zerg and all I get are mirror matches. . .
You know, it'd be a real treat if blizzard + Show Spoiler +fixed their ladders that break every other month or fix promotions that have more people scratching their heads then not in my experience

A question to Terran players about the UI. Do you find the health bars annoying when you are using the allied vision thingy so you are green and he is red? The health bars is the same green as you and if I have a group of marines and tanks it tends to clutter for me. I don't know if it's just me or if anyone else have tought about this. I would be happy if the green on your stuff was a bit different and not exactly like everyting else thats green in the game.

Yeah, but that is probably because the ladder has been taken over by Zergs lately cuz of the success in pro scene. I get like 80% TvZ every day the last month.

That is really weird....
But I have always noticed my protoss opponent's assimilators always being there because halfway through killing them I subconsciously gave up and moved my army someplace.

how much do smaller pro players make money wise if any at all?
teams like col, sixjax, vile, etc.
what about the bigger teams like liquid, dignitas, eg?

How does it matter? Your points does not decide who you are playing or show how good you are. They are just there for show and misleading.

Anyone else feels like there's a whole fckton of Zergs on the ladder those days? At least in EU, I feel like the numbers have increased by a significant margin.
Makes me wanna learn Terran so badly. So I've been looking for some solid builds to learn, one per MU.
TvP - ThorZains 2-2 Bio
TvZ - MMAs Drop TvZ from MLG Columbus
TvT - a 3 Tank timing into Marine/Tank/Medivac
do you feel there would be more efficient builds to practice?
Besides - anyone else switched from Zerg to another race and had severe problems getting to learn their macro mechanics? Constantly queing up stuff while microing stil feels unnatural and unaccostumed for me.

So now with the popularity of GSTL and when are we going to be able to have SC2 icons on our TLposts like the BW teams get? Be nice to mix in some foreign teams as well.

Basically, most of the active players picked Zerg for season 2. Zerg has been on the rise for months.

I hate playing against Zerg... They can reproduce their army within minutes while I play toss takes a little longer.

I can't tell you the exact reason, but I can share supportive opinions why Assimilators should have more HP:
1. Terrans can repair refineries and zergs can transfusion extractors, but protoss can't do either of these. Shield regenerates though.
2. Protoss needs gas in order to survive - as it's widely known, sentries are the units that makes up for cost inefficient protoss army, and they're gas expensive!
Anyway, it's not gamebreaking if it has more hp.
