ROOT didn't have sponsors, which is why they've since all been bought up by other teams except Destiny, who's basically an anarchist.

I sincerely wanted him to remain on the team but we were given no real option. He refused to participate with the team. Also, it was our full intention on allowing him to speak his mind on his stream but within certain boundaries of professionalism. I spoke with him personally before this was released and he knew it was coming. I think he's a good guy but it just didn't work out at this time. I wish him the very best in the future. that's weird because on the stream he saw the post and was like... "WTF? Are you kidding me??" Not sure why he would act all surprised unless he was acting to get more publicity or something
I'm sure he knew and was only reacting that was on seeing the post and not the news it contained.

Wow, thats harsh finding it out on stream

Complexity? Not so much. Huge stick was observed before the insertion.
Complexity is indeed more 'manner-sensitive' than some other teams...

We are disappointed by @idrajit's unprofessional comments on @nasltv. Bad mannered and uncalled for.

I think its really funny how complexity kinda just dragged his name across the floor though... rofl.

Hey look, when you don't conduct yourself in a professional manner professionally, then you are limited in your opportunities. Imagine that.

how about actually reading some from coL's pov before looking like an idiot? There's no way coL just decided to post news w/o telling destiny, so it's pointing fingers @ this point.

Didn't they have a few sponsors at the end? Unless they were personal sponsorships for their players I could have sworn they acquired a sponsor or two before they dissolved.

Team Destiny!!!!! Destiny > Col by a long shot.
Steve - don't let the TL moderated environment thats permiated the SC2 scene change you. In the end the world respects people who are honest and forthright with their opinions.
Look at Charles Barkley and the shit he's said.... or Noam Chomsky.... or Jesse Ventura.
The vocal minority of haters and "do gooders" think some varnished world is their salvation. Some BM free utopia.
Fact is you just got busted because people notice what you do. If you were like 99% of other SC2 players no one would know or care.
Fuck them..... Go Destiny!

Perhaps you should read the posts above yours before posting. Just because he says omg never knew that was comming doesnt make it true. Not saying it isnt...just saying dont be that fast to judge someone without knowing the facts. Its a he says/they say and you CANT just say what you have just said without proof.

Now maybe im way off base but from a management perspective and a sponsors perspective isn't it in their best interest to have a player that streams often and draws a lot of viewers?
Destiney might have said some things that shine a negative light on Complexity and his release makes since however to say a team would not pick him up is off base. Any team that has a player that can get as much attention for sponsors like destney can and perform at a high level is gold mine.
Correct me if im wrong, I definitely dont understand the business side of E-sports like I would like but it seems sound. ^^

I don't get why people say teams will pick him up for exposure. If your team needs to do that, then the team is not really worth investing your time with. A well run team would strive for results instead of recruiting people based on shock / prestige factor. Destiny will find a home when he wants to. Good luck to him in the future.

There's no such thing as personal when you represent a corporation. Do you think if Wolf Blitzer was a gay bashing mysogynist on Twitter and claimed it was his personal belief, that it wouldn't reflect poorly on CNN?

I saw this kind of thing happening, what with Destiny's non-pc language. The only reason this is a problem is because he is well known, and how highly publicized his language became these past few months. I'm sure plenty of other progamers spew racist, sexist, or homophobic insults, but it's not widely discussed enough for people to care. I suppose Idra is an exception simply because of his playing caliber.
Fortunately, Destiny has relatively improved, meaning that he is slowly performing better compared to the progress of his peers. I hope he takes this chance to seriously engage in practice, rather than Sotis all day :b
Good luck.

The exposure Destiny brings should make sponsors salivate in my opinion, someone with a following that big who can beat anyone on a good day should be valid in a lot of NA teams.

We'll parts of this are clearly false. We obviously don't have perfect information but I watched destiny practice with a variety of col members on his stream throughout the last week.
"certain boundaries of professionalism." could mean anything. This pickup was in the midst of destiny very publicly announcing his beliefs on language, and if the contract was written without that in mind it was not intended to succeed in the first place.

ROOT didn't have a hefty wad of money, they were a major team because of their results. I can't see how Destiny, a player who is not overly competitive (or at least doesn't seem to hugely care about improving and competing), would lose out by joining a lesser team, something along the lines of vile or VP that's not at the top tier, but could still maybe help him get to events.
When Destiny joined ROOT, no-one was out there going "wow, I'm never supporting ROOT again because of the messages Destiny displays on his stream", coL is a bigger organization but Destiny would no doubt still be there if he cared to do the community things that coL probably asked. On his stream he's still practicing with the coL guys, so there can't be any bad blood.

ROOT did have sponsors, IGN, JTV, and some poker site.
