coL seems like it is the best team he could actually get on. I can't see any team that is as good or better actually wanting a player like destiny unless they just want attention, which is basically saying they don't care about winning, just stream money and selling some product.

His unwillingness to conform even a little is only going to bite him in the ass. At least having him compete in some big tournies made him relevant. Now he is going to struggle to stay in the spotlight outside of his stream.

We'll parts of this are clearly false. We obviously don't have perfect information but I watched destiny practice with a variety of col members on his stream throughout the last week.

"certain boundaries of professionalism." could mean anything. This pickup was in the midst of destiny very publicly announcing his beliefs on language, and if the contract was written without that in mind it was not intended to succeed in the first place.


Participation doesn't entail playing starcraft with the team, there are other responsibilities Jason is talking about

It would do more than just shed a negative light on Complexity but also their sponsors which is extremely important for a gaming team.

Well they didn't provide many details, but did mention opinions expressed on his stream and "professionalism." Honestly, no one watches Destiny just for his playing ability - he's popular for being wild. Complexity picking him up and expecting him to be a model G-rated player would be as stupid as EG requiring Idra to gg in all of his games.

He was an acquisition as part of a deal... its like when these wow guilds acquire each other to get stronger.. .you always have to take on some jobbers and then you begin immediately looking for reasons to get rid of them without rocking the boat. Destiny is a jobber... he's an okay player, but to be honest its not worth the headache trying to rein him in. Like, can anyone EG having a player like idra, minus the talent? IdrA is popular DESPITE his attitude while Destiny is popular DUE TO his attitude

well no surprise really that his behaviour on his stream was gonna bite him in the butt sooner or later. It's a shame though, he has the potential but needs the environment that comes with being in a team and practicing just like any other player. Hopefully he finds a team soon.

Good for Destiny. Not getting involved with complexity is a good thing for any player of any competitive game. Just a shame root as a whole had to be snatched up.

I wish Complexity would give a real explanation for why it didn't allow Destiny on the team. Just two nights ago on Destiny's stream (I believe Catz was streaming at the same time) I heard Cruncher call Catz a nigger faggot mexican beaner, as a joke. How can you kick out Destiny for not watering down his speech if you don't care about that? It doesn't sound like you're making your players into professionals, more like you're just hiding them from the public eye.

It is in my very humble opinion that we do need players that are willing to go against the aforementioned status quo of what is required for pro teams to flourish... I believe that destiny joined root as they would allow him to grow as a player and improve all the while still allowing him to be the individual that he is. In the aftermath of the merger he believed that the root legacy would carry over to col. and in that i believe he was mistaken. I hope he can find another team that allows him to further grow as a player and allow him to have the outspoken mindset that we all know him for. also inc you are not incorrect in your assumption

There's probably no team that really want's that, but if Destiny was to change his ways because of a team, he would ultimately loose money, i totally understand why he does not want to be a part of something that makes him change himself, especially when there's money on the line aswell.

was only a matter of time, destiny isn't winning anything anywhere and he's not really presenting a good image of esports or any top tier teams, don't see any top teams willing to pick up someone like him.
