This probably won't impact Destiny in any major way. Besides brewing up more interest in him and his stream. He might actually be walking away from this more popular than he was before. His income is based off of his streaming, which he has accomplished from day one without high profile tournament results or the help of a famous team/sponsors behind him. Steven cannot and will not be part of a team that asks him to be politically correct. If this topic came up in any discussions and no agreement was made, this release was expected from both parties Colonels has just gained an anti-fan.

TL:DR : I signed the contract, I broke the contact, that's a pretty douche move. Basically there'd been talks of ROOT/Complexity merging for a while, to relieve stress from catz/drewbie, which is cool, it gives them more time to play, etc... One day, I got a message pretty much saying "hey, that contract is due tonight, you gotta sign it today". I pretty much had half a day to decide whether or not to sign, and it seemed like if I didn't sign, the deal would fall through for the rest of the team. I didn't want to mess up everyone's opportunities to move on with their career just because I felt uncomfortable, and there was nothing -too- objectionable in the contract, so I signed it. In the following days, I had more time to think about it, and the more I turned it over in my head, the more problems I found with the arrangement, and the more reasons I found not to be associated with a major business SC2 team, at least not at this moment in time. I talked a long time to Catz, and had a few words with Jason, and eventually settled on the conclusion that I wouldn't actually be joining.

We obviously don't have perfect information but I watched destiny practice with a variety of col members on his stream throughout the last week. "certain boundaries of professionalism." could mean anything. This pickup was in the midst of destiny very publicly announcing his beliefs on language, and if the contract was written without that in mind it was not intended to succeed in the first place. Before you call someone a liar, take a step back. Occasionally practicing with teammates doesn't necessarily constitute participating with the team. You don't know what they asked him to do that he refused.

Just two nights ago on Destiny's stream (I believe Catz was streaming at the same time) I heard Cruncher call Catz a nigger faggot mexican beaner, as a joke. How can you kick out Destiny for not watering down his speech if you don't care about that? It doesn't sound like you're making your players into professionals, more like you're just hiding them from the public eye. Did you even read the OP or any of the responses by col in this thread? It is more than just his language on his stream. He literally didn't do things that were in his contract. He blatantly ignored the terms of agreement he agreed upon when he joined the team. He broke his contract = bye bye.

Sounds like they just wanted an excuse to get rid of him because he's not a top player. But he is...
