However we can draw parallels. Anything in (parentheses) is a 2nd choice and even more loosely related.

None of them are 1 to 1 equivalents. I think Irradiate with it's splash and solid kill value is as close as it gets.

the irradiate is somewhat equivalent to the storm it splashes out stuff
but lets take it a bit further
it’s the same with the emp
they both excrete cringe stuff while the emp is not that different and exit out of the inner terran
it gobbles way less energy than it start with but it usually comes back
not to mention the ability to disable and damage shields
it's a damage spell
like storm and irradiate!

I would have put storm and plague together since those spells are used in the same fashion for the same purpose of lowering hp, and storms don't necessarily kill the units targeted. Feedback from DA would have been a good match with irradiete or emp.

Yeah in game storm and plague are pretty similar. Some units have enough HP to survive a single storm as well.
Feedback has no AOE tho.
