noglues cheat does nothing

I've been playing this game for over 10 years, and I sometimes use cheats. Usually just operation cwal (speed things up) or black sheep wall (reveal map).

However, I have always noticed that the cheat noglues doesn't do anything. Online guides say that it prevents the enemy from using all forms of psionic energy -- some say it prevents the enemy from casting any form of magic, and other guides say it specifically prevents the enemy from casting Psionic Storm. If I use it, it says "cheat enabled", but the enemies still cast magic (like High Templars casting Psionic Storm, etc.)

Every other cheat works, as I have tested them over the years. What gives?

(I think it's a brood war only cheat, but either way, I will be clear that I *am* playing it with the brood war expansion)
