Can't imagine many people are surprised by this. His mannerisms and behavior on-stream may be what has created this huge following for him, but I can see how it might be incompatible with the image that a major gaming team is trying to project.
If I had to guess, I'd say the Root situation worked out well because Root was admittedly a smaller team with fewer sponsors and thus fewer demands of their players. Complexity is a major multi-gaming conglomerate, and with that comes the obligations of sponsors and such. Among them are surely a requirement that players exhibit language and behavior that is not divisive or polarizing, as Destiny tends to be.
Anyhow, Destiny frequently has stated he never wanted to "conform" to the system or whatever, so this is probably the best possible scenario for both parties. I just wonder if this has made Destiny a toxic product for other teams, or perhaps a more enticing possibility.

okay but where is root now?
col doesn't lose anything by getting rid of destiny, he has zero tournament results. and it is sad that he cannot honor the contracts and keep a professional stream...I mean what team will want their player to spew vile stuff to the public? No GOOD team will ever want that. Good riddance imo.

kinda dickish not even telling him they kicked him...

I thought Destiny was pretty lucky to get into Col, but maybe he can find a new team. Maybe VileDestiny or VPdestiny.

Pretty obvious that they wanted Destiny to stop being Destiny.. He never was going to work out with an organization like Complexity.
Hope he doesn't change..

In any regard I like destiny >_< wish he'd value community/teams more though.. he could grow as a player! Destiny joining EG within 3 months

Or they did tell him and he's playing it off on his stream and trying to get people to support him. It's he said/they said and it's all up to who you believe.

He's going to get picked up by Reign Gaming. It's almost VT's motto to pick up anyone that will give more exposure to VT.

In any regard I like destiny >_< wish he'd value community/teams more though.. he could grow as a player! Well they didn't provide many details, but did mention opinions expressed on his stream and "professionalism." Honestly, no one watches Destiny just for his playing ability - he's popular for being wild. Complexity picking him up and expecting him to be a model G-rated player would be as stupid as EG requiring Idra to gg in all of his games. I am going to have to agree that i doubt he got dropped because he refused to make a blog or post on a site. If this was true than that is really dumb on Stevens Part.
I am pretty sure, as stated above, this has to do with his language and sometimes his manners when on ladder( it is really not as often as people think, i have noticed that his rage usually is not against other player unless they are people he has history with, like Deezer or CombatEx. His raging at a random player is not AS frequent) or his use or Foul language.

I can assure you that I have personally spoken with Steven over the past week. I sincerely wanted him to remain on the team but we were given no real option. He refused to participate with the team. Also, it was our full intention on allowing him to speak his mind on his stream but within certain boundaries of professionalism.
I spoke with him personally before this was released and he knew it was coming.
I think he's a good guy but it just didn't work out at this time. I wish him the very best in the future.

This is the type of thing that keeps Destiny relevent. It's probably better for the image he is trying to cultivate than actually being a member of complexity ever would be.

thats pretty professional of complexity not letting Destiny know before they actually posted this news. lmfao thats so unprofessional letting him find out from people in chat telling him
