But why does a team game cost .71 cents a game when the regular GSL cost less per game? I think they need to raise the regular GSL price to whatever .71 cents a game is since people are clearly willing to pay for it.
Why don't MLG and dreamhack charge money for games I think they should charge to watch the livestream at about .71 cents/game streamed.
Team league games are generally of higher quality than many individual league games and thus are in higher demand, so the price can naturally be higher without too much loss.
Also, MLG and Dreamhack operate on a completely different business model than GOM, with their revenues coming from different sources.

personally I think the GSTL games are much better and way more entertaining
not just that, but every day has something to look forward to while some days of the GSL tournament we'd have pretty lackluster groups in both code S and code A
$25 seems slightly too high... I think $20 would be better.
With 20$ I'd buy it for sure. $25 has me sitting on the fence for now. I'll probably just tune in live and see how it goes before I decide to buy it or not.
Gomtv just needs to do a monthly subscription model much like Netflix, Hulu, etc. I bet more people would be willing to pay $8.99-9.99 per month for gomtv (which would actually be $27 for the GSTL so more money for Gom). If I was Gom I'd be doing more research as to what pricing model would be the most effective, especially when they have a free survey outlet like TL (see: this thread).
I would say a similar model as HBO. Does HBO charge per episode or per season of entourage? No, they charge a set fee (under $10) per month. I think gom has a unique opportunity to be the ONLY SC2 tournament in the world to offer content EVERY month and justify the monthly subscription model.
Note that I could be completely wrong, but I still think they should be surveying the community or looking at the numbers internally (which I'm sure they are already).

But we are going to see 5 games each of FXO, zenex, fou, NS. Will zenex vs fou during the group stage be able to keep that same quality there is going to be a friday where that is the only match. And then next friday we might only get to see IM all kill HS. Don't see why these will be more exciting then the individual league, we've seen from NASL how a group stage over the weeks can be less interesting then knockout games.

I agree. For me, the problem isn't the money over a three month period. It's the payment of $25 + whatever the gsl price is at the same time.
Sure it's a good deal when you average it out over the amount of content you're getting, but for someone like me who's in college, frankly it can be tough to get $35 together just to watch starcraft.
All these $/Game arguments are so ridiculous! If a Tournament has 1000 Bad Games for 10$ its a great deal? We don't know how good the new GSTL Format works! Maybe it's boring as hell, like NASL :p I think I'll try to catch GSL Live/Download the VODs somewhere and buy only the 1on1 Seasons.
Beginning to wonder how TL members pay for their computing equipment?
You seriously can't fork over 25 bucks? Did you guys need a year saved up before getting SC2??
Seriously the GSTL has the greatest variety of matchups, less build order losses due to players studying each other too excessively, and greater entertainment value.
Please tell me where you can spend 25 bucks that offers more bang for your buck than GSTl?

NASL, regular GSL, netflix. MLG dreamhack IEM are free but maybe buy the high def tickets to support esports.
I'm going to get it anyways I think Gom and all the western tournaments should be charging more for everything especially live streams. Just saying its not the best deal in the world especially if days like fou vs zenex end up not being so hot.
Also I posted a link somewhere that in Russia 15 dollars the same as 75 dollars here as a percentage of wages. So people from poor countries might wanna spend there 100 dollars on food and shelter. (GOM needs to price it lower in these places so they don't pirate and charge 1st world more for GSL)
I'll buy it with ads...but this is too expensive. This definitely made me reconsider, and I can't watch live so I have to watch vods, so not buying the pass would mean I wouldn't get to watch it at all. I know it's a longer season and all, and it's so restrictive on how you can watch (GOM Player only), you can download NASL in file format.

This.
GSTL has the highest concentration of high level players.
