You seriously can't fork over 25 bucks? Did you guys need a year saved up before getting SC2??
Seriously the GSTL has the greatest variety of matchups, less build order losses due to players studying each other too excessively, and greater entertainment value.
Please tell me where you can spend 25 bucks that offers more bang for your buck than GSTl? This. GSTL has the highest concentration of high level players.
No way with FXO zenex fou and HS taking up a lot of days. The old GSTL was but I don't think this will be much more concentrated entertainment or high level play then other tournaments. It costs more then others per game but it is at a fair price so other tournaments should be raising their prices to match this fair price.

Only worth it if Thorzain is going to be playing in it.

i think 19.99 would have been the sweet spot.

Which he is.

Is it expensive compared to the previous GSL season tickets? Absolutely. But it's still cheap as free compared to X hours' worth of movies, casual games or other forms of entertainment. So yeah, I'll buy it.

wow, the majority of the people taking this poll are cheap as hell. then again it's not that surprising since everyone is used to things being free in this age of pirating. i'm definitely paying for this season of gstl.

There is way too much competition for this price point in my opinion. Especially since the games occur while I'm asleep. It will be exciting at times, but so is some of the free events. And many of the best players now appear elsewhere.

Too expensive, but will pay for it cause I never got the opportunity to watch a lot of Teamleague while school was still going on. I guess I'll tolerate the ads

Personally I buy pay-per-view all the time.

Cheaper than previous seasons of GSTL and no one ever complained about that.
|
Does this include GSL July? Thats what it looks like based off of the schedule.
|
I just bought the ticket. The best entertainment SC2 can give for a low price? Yes please!
|
19,99 would've been better. Still bought it though GTSL for the win

But the quality of the games will be less epic because there will be a "regular season" and then play offs. The regular season will have less at stake. It's the same reason why regular season tickets for NHL/NBA are cheaper than Playoffs

Because of the atrocious quality of GSL when compared to things like IPL, EGMC, MLG, etc. I don't think I'll be getting these until they up the quality (when I say quality, I literally mean resolution, not production value and such).

For the people that are saying that others are being cheapskates about this. You have to realize, it isn't JUST 25 bucks. You're assuming this is like the only thing we're gonna pay for or something. In reality, we're paying for a lot of other stuff.
For me personally, if i were to buy this I would be paying for $25 every 3 months, then $15 per month for the regular season GSL, then $25 every 3 months for NASL then $15 dollar for MLG every month or so. I also play WoW (as is 11million other people), so that's another $15 per month. Then it's $60 per year for a SC2 expansion. And if they release another WoW expansion, or Diablo 3, that's another $60. Let's pray to god my keyboard, mouse, mic, headphones, etc don't break. This is JUST for gaming.
Now include my cell phone bill, which even if I don't over use it, comes out to about $30 per month. Add in the standard necessity costs like travel expenses, hair cuts, etc etc, it comes out to quite a lot for your average college student that works 2-3 days part-time on the weekends (which a lot of the audience are).

Im indecisive on this one. I didnt mind paying 20 a month for the Full GSL schedule but there really is too much to watch. If I buy the regular season and the GSTL Im spending almost 30 a month on just korean SC2 vods. Then theres the NASL and other purchases and my cell bill :/
|
Well, I guess this is just as good of a time as any to stop watching GSTL. Hell, this price point might actually makes me bitter enough to not buy any other gomtv season pass.
|
I would be much more inclined to buy the GSTL ticket if it was 720p like most of the foreign tournament streams.
|
If they start to cut matches out of the normal GSL (ie not broadcast some of them) I feel that they should lower the price. The price they have for the normal GSL season is fair and it's been around for so long that if they cut matches without cutting the price it would seem really unreasonable and quite greedy to be honest.
