still not changing Terran Mech in TvP to be winnable at pro level but meh. Decent patch I hope PvP won't be something to groan at now. People compared old PvP to being similar to BW PvP but.... BW PvP had some pretty epic games whereas sc2 PvP are all ended before 10 minutes. Probably closer to the ZvZ of BW which everyone hated.

Looks like my transition in TvP month ago from bio to mech was right decision. With the ghost buff and bug fix, they are gonna be awesome

As if ghosts needed a Buff
Interesting patch tho.

I hope everyone realizes that they just HUGELY nerfed the PvZ ForgeExpand.
The 1 Pylon won't be able to block the entrance on maps like Shattered/Scrap/TalDarim anymore O_o

That's an enormous change.

But otherwise I'm very happy with the patch, the Archon is finally going to be useful in PvT and that's going to change a lot. Even though there'll be more ghosts to screw his shields =(

Protoss style would be now be using gateway when massing up at home, and convert to warpgate when pushing out. I predict a more dangerous 6 gate push incoming if a protoss doesn't miss a beat in his macro during the gateway phase.

Besides the Warpgate change, what caught my eye was the Ghost change.

Now they're expensive as hell mineral wise, but much less expensive gas wise. I know I'm going to try working some new things into my PvT with that extra gas, especially ravens for PDD'ing phoenixes and stalkers.

Guys, gateways are NOT BETTER in any way. All they've done is made them better than before to prevent the warpgate tech nerf killing toss in the other matchups. They slowed down the introduction of warpgate tech, NOTHING more.

Interesting point. But when's the last time you've seen an Archon drop? I remember Draco owning some Korean pro with Archon popping vs. Guardians. That shit was sick. Sorry, I'm in a nostalgic mood.

I agree with the above posts I think proxy 2 gate is going to come back into style, in an earlier patch the Zealot build time was increased to help negate this, however it seems like this will fake it a pretty decent build once more. Also Protoss won't have as hard of a time holding off early Terran pushes. As that was a bit problematic as you needed excellent ff usage and micro just to live while your opponent was able to get down an early expansion and take the lead.

I'm quite happy about the ghost change. In my opinion gas is not a problem when going bio. Gas is a problem when going mech. This change is great for mechplayers .
