Lots of people disagree apparently, looking at all the premium cable sports channels available. I'm def buying one. $20 for 3 months of daily content and vods is awesome. Edit: I'm consistently surprised by some of the negative responses to NASL. I'm not talking about people who are planning to watch the free stream or who don't have the money or time to make the premium worth it, but rather the people who want to hate on the league in general before it's even started. Why does a premium stream and vod service sound like an april fools joke? A big league like NASL is a big deal outside Korea. A huge deal. And setting it up isn't free. So those who laugh at the idea that you should support esports and say "I want it done for me, I want it free, and I want to complain about it while it happens," you are Starcraft's evil stepmother.

Also, with my connection I can't stream 1080p reliably, will the Season Pass have other quality options that are lower than 1080p but higher than standard?

You are paying $8.30 a month for NASL, versus $10 for the GSL with commercial breaks ($20 if no commercial breaks). Yes, the player quality in the GSL is currently better and the only caster I'd take over tastosis is Day[9] (I think NASL casters will be great) but that doesn't mean it isn't worth 8 and a half bucks.

Yup, a NASL season will be about 2-3 months, so you might say that the amount of content per price ratio is about the same in GSL and NASL. Plus the commercial interruption issue also seem to have settled. So all that you could hold against it are the better players and "better" casters, the latter one being based on personal preference, though I do need to say that Artosis is a godly caster and teams up with Tasteless perfectly. Another thing to note though, is that the prize money handed out per time severely lacks behind the GSL. Not that I blame the NASL for that, it has a great prize money pool in the first two seasons and a huge one in the third season. The GSL is just off the hook with their price money, I guess everybody agrees on that. But if you objectively compare the GSL and the NASL, you have to take into consideration that even though the price is the same compared to the amount of content, the NASL will hand out less than a third of prize money to the players in the first two seasons.

Its cheaper than GSL on a month by month basis, and it supports e-sports growth. If 20 bucks is too much for 3 months of entertainment you need to move out of your mommy's house and get a job. You mean the world championship where all non-korean players lost their very first bo3 against the koreans? Except Dimaga of course, who lost in the second round. The non-Koreans did well in the team league, but I thought the general consensus is that a bo1 is too volatile and says very little about the skills of the players involved in it.

High level games are being played all the time and can be viewed for free. It's up to Nasl to prove what they bring to the table that free casters dosnt.

This is SO sad i hoped NASL would have done something more similar to European organizers and have free VODs. At least they could provide the replays for free, now i know i'll be missing almost every game of NASL because i don't want to pay for SC2 Content.

This is really sad, hopefully others organizers won't copy this system which is preveting the vast majority of the community to actually see the games. It's actually not sad at all, if you want to follow an awesome tournament either watch it live or pay for some quality entertainment.
