My worry about the templar nerf is what happenes when my 4 or 5 templar that have been waiting for the past minute all get emped?

Do I just run away and wait for another 2 minutes now? I can't just warp in another round and go...I'm kinda totally dead if ghosts are on the map.

Feedbacking ghosts also becomes a MAJOR concern, cause what's more important, feedback the ghost and have 1 less storm?

Ghosts don't do massive instant damage like HTs. Ghosts are used in PvsT as a defensive measure against HTs.

No matter how you look at it, warp in instant storm is very imbalanced. Warping in 2 HTs can easily and instantly hold off any Protoss expos against any bio ground army - that's ridiculous. This post is ridiculous because it's just as easy to say HTs, and colossus for that matter, are a defensive measure against stimmed rax units. If you catch a bad EMP you very well might just be dead, steamrolled by rax, gg- no emergency replacement templars. Why would you ever risk that if colossus can come into a match fulfilling that role immediately and without potentially having that power instantly revoked? Can you see why it may not be fun for a protoss player to feel like he has to go colossus?

BTW EMP outranges Feedback. There is no need to have entire AoE in range, just it's center point.
And StarcraftMan is complaining he can't just a move on a base... what's wrong with spreading units?

Again, unique abilities will be removed, so newbies won't get hurt neither by warped-in high templars nor special tactics like archon toilets.

I would say 'I hope not', considering we don't need a high templar buff, but at this point I'd take anything for colossus to not be the focal point of all 3 matchups.

I guess youre going to have to play better and not let all your templar get emped.

The thing that happened with fungal... Does it still do the same amount of damage or is that halved too? Does it deal damage faster or does the dot continue after the stun?

So Vortex is something to use on your own army now, because otherwise you'll make the opponents army imortal for 1.5sec, while they can attack your army. I also think it's dumb to remove the amulet, it will only make HTs even more rare.

in a game where scouting is already too weak, blizzard makes it worse for the race that needs it the most.

and broodlord morph cost is higher now too right? lol, ok blizzard.

I hope HotS has a beta, Im not sure I want to buy the expansion after a second really, really awful PTR patch (1.2 was hilarious with infestors not hitting air). it really, really makes me think that the balance team is living in a fantasy world.
Those small maps were like a boxing match in a phone booth.

For anyone who is stuck with the patcher endlessly looping, run regular SC2 to get the latest patch and update to the blizzard updater. After that, when I try to run the PTR I just get the message that it's down, but at least the installer isn't looping anymore.

You could always cast it on the opponent so you can run away from an engagement in an awful position.

EDIT: Or to split your opponent's army and then run away at the last moment.

So what is the consensus on fungal? I have only seen a youtube video of someone dodging it with stalkers, but it looks kind of awesome to me. If it deals the same damage in half the time that's great, plus the bonus to armored, and the projectile seemed quite fast, it will be nice to see what kind of micro it adds to the game
