Yes. Brood morphing on live is 150/150. On the PTR it is 300/250 (which is coincidentally the total cost of a corruptor/brood on live). I hope that's a bug.

bloody hell... yea, i hope so as well. i think the Z economy might be able to take the blow from the increased overseer cost since its "just" minerals, but a 300/250 brood lord? goodbye endgame, it was nice knowing you!

coincidentally, 150/100 is also the combined cost of an OL and an overseer in 1.2, so it could very well be a bug of some sort... fingers crossed!

My problem with the HT change is that it de-synergizes toss units. Warp prisms are meant for WARPING in units. But now, if you want to storm drop, you have to load them up and wait to get that energy for the drop. No more getting the warp into position and warping in HT from there.

Storm dropping is something they must obviously have imagined when deciding how prisms were going to function. I find it odd now that they're basically removing this.

At first i thought that shortening Fungal is bad for zerg, but in fact shortening the time means MMM dies 2 times faster and it will actually also hurt tanks. but i feel like it will be worse against blink stalkers since u can barely do any damage stopping them for only 4 secs...

Mothership patch, was to be expected so once again it will go on the list of underused units
Chargelots needed the fix
Stimpack needed to be fixed, stim in early game was too strong
Infestors patch was actually pretty decent, nice buff, needed it
HT's patch, very disapointed... and i was gonna start doing templar tech more, oh well theres still collossi that are pretty much the most standard P build.


All in all, not good, not bad, its a "meh" patch

overall these changes dont fix anything for zerg. in fact infestor are a lot worse... protoss amulet and mothership nerfs are weird.

you can stim out of fungal now. how are you going to catch mutas with it? blink stalkers can blink away too.

I really dislike the mothership nerf, i think i understand where its coming from but 1.5 sec immunity feels like some world of warcraft fix that shouldnt exist in wow.

Why not change vortex back to stasis field

i really dislike these patches, they dont do anything to address my concerns at all. i dont understand where they got this information to make these changes.

I wouldn't mind if they removed the respective ghost energy upgrade. It's not like terran unit's energy upgrades are used a lot anyway. Probably because there isn't really a terran caster that is worth having more than maybe 3-4 of.

And by the time my ghost has managed to walk from the barracks up to my army it has 75 energy anyways ...

in a game where scouting is already too weak, blizzard makes it worse for the race that needs it the most.

Chances are those changes are bugged as they wern't listed in the patch notes. I highly doubt Blizzard is gonna put up a PTR and just randomly decide to hide the changes.
Even so, you failed to mention the implications of these units.

Oveseer might have been deemed "broken" during in-house Blizzard testing for ZvZ.

Perhaps the Broodlord movement speed increase that is also unmentioned is supposed to be balanced by the increase in price.

Maybe it's all bugged, or maybe it's all scrapped changes they forgot to patch out.

is there a video of the fungal growth missile? can someone pm it to me or post it? I tried looking but i couldnt find it

I dont really like the 1.5 sec invisibility vortexed units get now.... Were people abusing the toilet that much that it had to be changed? I thought it added some excitement to the game. There was an actual reason to be really worried about mothership play. Now it seems to further distinguish the Mothership as only a defensive tool. Oh well

Also I found the HT amulet removal a bit rash. I really didnt think it was such a big deal that they can storm when spawned but obviously this isnt the end of the world, just like the old BW days!

That was probably done because of mass contaminate in ZvZ, with 3 overseers you could completely shut down your zerg opponent

Yea. If it was just overseers, then it seems like an nerf. If it's also brood lords (and the costs line up as described) it's most likely a bug. Although ling -> baneling morph cost also didn't go up on ptr as expected.

But yeah, probably (hopefully) a bug.

looking at the numbers, i agree. it seems to be related to units morphing from other units instead of larvae; blings, overseers and brood lords are all affected. seemed shocking at first though.

Infestor is arguable, less duration means more damage over a short period, so multiple infestors will actually do more damage since you can not stack fungals.
