IMO Sjow is not a good choice. His late macro and BO's are awesome, but his lack of early scouting makes him extremely vulnerable to cheese. And Korean players cheese a lot. And it's not the same a random Top 100 cheese than an MC one. MC will cheese you, and in case you defend it, he will be MILES ahead so it will be game. (Not saying MC is a cheeser, just an example). Really believe qxc deserves going. An awesome and spectacular Terran with a very aggressive play. Dimaga, White-Ra, Huk, Naama and Mana would be good ones too. P.S. Sorry for the bad grammar+syntax, I have no corrector here.

There were plenty of live events for him to prove he's that level, and he's nowhere near for the time being.

North America - Huk - Won the first MLG, good placement in others, has giant balls (mothership rush in top 4), already in korea South America - Fenix - he already travels worldwide for events, has good placements including wins. Europe - White Ra - Old School with tons of exp, use to traveling and playing in front of crowds - good placements such as blizzcon - OR - Namma because he just won dreamhack, but i think Ra would be a better choice - OR - TLO - but I dont think hes going back to korea or he would already be in the GSL I think Asia - sen? luffy? loner? - i dont know much about asia

white ra is old, married, and already has been to korea. i srsly doubt he will go back to give it another shot. apparently there are a lot of other players who wouldnt even consider it due to circomstances, so lets just forget about them ![]() As for the liquid guys, as much as i hope they will go far in GSL, i think they already have a very good opportunity to prove themselves out there (having a house in korea, training with oGs etc.) So i think its more fair to consider players who may not have had a chance yet. I think that mouzMana and mouzNaama both are very skilled, + they are pretty young 19/20 and i honestly think they are far from reaching their potential. They could become great if they have proper training partners and some tournament training (e.g learning to control their nerves, if it is an issue) Bratok (although he isnt THAT young) seems to perform very well, but being unable to join several tournaments due to visa issues. He seems to be a very good player though... and finally i guess demuslim is a good choice... so in short: mouzMana, mouzNaama, BratOk and deMuslim

Its not like his entire game hinges upon him NOT sending out that scout. If it didnt work he wouldnt do it. And say that it doesnt work in Korea, i would think that he would start to send that SCV out to be able to stay there and compete. Really not a great argument against him being eligable. Besides, if anything were to make him a bad candidate its his macro imo so i really dont know what your talking about.

There's no objective ranking system in place for SC2, so there's always going to be some measure of subjectivity in your picks, but I believe you should try to aim for as much objectivity as you can. Players can't be invited just because they're a fan favourite or the responsibles at GOM think they have potential, that would open the door to enormous bias and lessen the GSL's credibility. In my opinion, only 2 things should go into consideration for who to invite: 1. The availability and motivation of the player to go to Korea. Someone like Tyler would rank low in this category because he's married and he's said he doesn't want to give everything up to go to Korea again. Huk and Haypro would rank very high because they're already in Korea and have proven that they have the motivation to try to make it in Korea. 2. The tournament success. This is really the only semi-objective indicator of skill we have. Semi-objective because there's always the subjective element of how to rate the tournaments and how to rate consistency vs. one big result. Still, I think if GomTV put enough thought into it (ie. make a ranking list of major tournaments (Dreamhack, MLG, TSL, etc.) and lesser tournaments that still factor into the ranking somewhat, they could get a decent indicator of each player's success in the foreign scene. Following from those 2 categories, I think Huk is the most obvious pick by far, as he ranks high in both (already in Korea, MLG winner, 3rd in another and good results in several other tournaments). Behind Huk it's much closer. There's Haypro who's already in Korea as well and at least has a GSL qualification to his name, Naama, who won Dreamhack but doesn't have that many other results to his name (again, one big result vs. consistency) and several other players (Kiwikaki, Select, Fenix for instance) who have consistently placed high in major tournaments.
