Control groups 1 -> 3 army stuff. 4 CC 5 Barracks 6 Factory 7 Starport 4r - SCV 5t - Marine 5y - Marauder 5u - Reaper 5i -Ghost 6y - Hellion 6u- Tank 6i - Thor 7u - Viking 7i - Medivac 7o - Raven 7p - Banshee 7[ - Battlecruiser Looks needlessly complicated to be honest but I've found it more streamlined

One I can think of is change the "make overseer"-hotkey, which is V, to something else. Kinda annoying to box your queen, catch a few overlords instead and WHAM you have way more overseers than you intended ![]() I thought queens have priority if boxed.

They do, but sometimes you don't box the queen at all.

Home view: Alt+Space (probably will be the best way to inject, discussed in another thread) All Spells moved to QWE Attack move: R Hold: T Stop: S Patrol: D Medivac/Ovi/Prism Unload&Load: E&R (so attack move and unload are in the same hotkey) Queen: R (so no more unwanted Queens created) Ovi Speed&Ovi Drop: X&C probably (to avoid occasionally upgrading when making roaches or hydras) Any Function of the key Shift moved to Alt: add to group, queue action Select all: moved to Alt+click Burrow : F (with alternate B maybe) Return cargo: Z I guess i'm gonna leave basic/advanced building to ZX couse i find it more confortable than QW and to avoid occasionally over stimming the army.

Quake 1, a game which came out 13 years ago, allowed you to customize any key of your choice. maybe because creating a UI for SC2 hotkeys isn't as easy as an FPS? Making a system for changing such complex hotkeys that even new players will be able to understand is difficult.

This is an example of how I have set up the hotkeys, not the full description Make Buildings example: Q = Basic Building W = Advanced Buildings QQ = Make Supply Depot QW = Make Barrack QE = Make Refinery WQ = Make Factory WW = Make Star Port Make Units from Barracks Q=Marine W=Marauder E=Reaper R=Ghost CommandCenter Q=Make SCV W=Call down Mule E=Scan Unit Abilities for Ghost Q=Snipe W=EMP E=Cloak R=Decloak Basic Commands: A=Attack move S=Stop D=Patrol What about lift off, land, stim (use), and all the research abilities? Curious is all. I have only set hotkeys for things I use frequently. Stim is set to Q since that is used a lot. If you mean lift off/land for buildings I have no hotkeys for that since I do not want to risk pressing those by accident. Each research ability is only pressed once per game so I think it is unnecessary to have hotkeys for that.
